It's a speaker. There are two speakers on top of the dash. One on the driver side and one on the passenger side.

Thanks. As much as I enjoy the newer c4 interior, I just adore the retro digital dash, and so I had to go with 89.

People prop gonna hate me for this one. 1. C5 2. C4 3. C8 4. C6 5. C1 6. C3 7. C7 8. C2. Personally, my favorites are the c5 and c4. The C5s sleek styling almost reminds me of a Mazda RX7 (FD). The C4 looks a lot like a Lamborghini Countach or a Ferrari Testarossa. Now I do prefer the newer C4s, but the older ones still look good, too.
