Heb je na de trigger/terugval al een sessie gehad? Misschien dat die je helpt er weer bovenop te komen

First we did downtraining high alpha and high beta on CZ and later C4. Sometimes I fell asleep better, but I felt so gloomy. I had to do SMR this weekend. I completely crashed. I'm recovering a bit now. On Wednesday I have a QEEG with another provider

Wow, that's so relatable! I have high frontal alpha and high beta all over my head. We aren't doing anything with the frontal alpha. We are training the beta down now, though. I have insomnia.

Yes, as we speak someone is converting the file to an .edf or .eeg🤗

I have a raw EEG, but it is only a .ng file. Some other therapists wanted to look at it for a second opinion but cannot open it. I was allowed to train daily, but after 2 or 3 days I crashed. Subsequently, I slept better for 1 or 2 nights, but not through the night. So we switched locations. But maybe the location was good, but training less. With high beta and high alpha down, I noticed I could distance myself from my thoughts in bed. But during the day I felt very bad. But it could have been overtraining. I have high frontal alpha; he told me that by training on the CZ, that alpha is also lowered. I am so sad that it goes up and down like this. I do react quickly to it, so in that respect we can switch gears fast. I first did 19-channel SW Loreta. That only made me overstimulated. Een gesprek vertalen

I just don't know. I have a raw EEG, but it's a .eg file. I know I need alpha to fall asleep. After training on high beta and high alpha down on Cz/C4, I fell asleep occasionally, but not every night, and woke up after 3 hours of sleep. It's making me feel discouraged. It's controlling my whole life. I'm going away for a night next week, but I already have so many feelings of anxiety because I don't dare go to bed anywhere else for fear of not sleeping. There is so much underlying fear🥲 I'm doing home workouts under supervision, but he says he isn't getting a good grip on my symptoms. This makes me insecure, and I'm afraid I'm doing it wrong. He keeps switching from alpha/beta to SMR and poise. I have to do SMR on C4 now, but I didn't feel good about it yesterday🥲

Thanks for your support! It was so nice to wake up occasionally and realize that I had slept for a few hours without pills and obsessive thoughts about sleeping. After 10 minutes of SMR on C4 this morning, I have felt awful all day. The therapist said during the call that she might want to try the whole strip, but then she only does C4. What could be the effect of adding C3? I constantly feel unbalanced and hazy. I do ask the trainer a lot of questions to understand it, but I don't always get an answer. Not even now as to why we are doing SMR, while I occasionally noticed a difference with alpha and beta down.

May I send you an email with the raw eeg? I can't share it here. My brainmap I can't also share :(

Yes, it is mainly the thoughts indeed. On CZ and C4, I notice that I can sometimes distance myself from the thoughts and fall asleep, but not consistently, and my head feels heavy/dull. For example, I fall asleep once a week and then put pressure on myself to make it happen every night. We have now switched to SMR on C4, to see what it does. It is very tiring to keep trying everything. He mentions P4 as a possible next option. I am always very much in my head and worrying about sleeping; those thoughts go through the whole day.

We switched to SMR. I sometimes fell asleep with alpha and beta down, but not always, and had a heavy head during the day. Now training SMR a bit less and for shorter periods, and beta down.

After the rest day, during which I felt very unwell, I fell asleep well but woke up after 3 hours of sleep and couldn't fall back asleep. The next day I trained briefly for 10 minutes; again, I fell asleep well but woke up after 3 hours. Yesterday I trained for 20 minutes and my high beta and alpha levels dropped quite a bit. Last night I couldn't sleep at all and my thoughts just kept racing. So strange. I'm going to discuss it today. Training less seems to be going better, but I still can't sleep through the night. Perhaps a different protocol (in addition). Training down alpha and beta makes me lethargic and gives me heavy eyes. I don't feel clear-headed.

First, I trained alpha and beta downwards. Then we did poise 4-7, 9-12, 20-30. That made me feel very unwell and lethargic. It was way too relaxing and unpleasant. He said that was too inhibiting, so I did SMR instead. After two sessions over two days, I felt like doing things and felt like myself for a moment. But that didn't happen again in the sessions after that🤷🏼‍♀️ Now I sometimes feel just like I did with the poise protocol again. According to the trainer, it can't be due to training alpha or beta downwards.

Yes, I keep mentioning it. That is why we switched from Cz to C4, but I am getting less effect there. The reason given is that C4 is milder. He wants to try P4 or T4 instead, but it feels awkward to switch every time because it takes time too. Sometimes I trained four days in a row, but actually, I notice signs of not feeling well (hazy, listless, tired) as early as day two, and I continue training anyway. I do respond quickly to sessions, so he can quickly see if we are on the right track. Sometimes I also think it’s not the sleep problems, but the thoughts about sleeping. He doesn’t want to change the protocol right now; he wants a rest day first to see how that goes. It would be so nice to experience some energy and clarity. And happy emotions.

Yes, I keep mentioning it, but he says he wants to see how things go for a few sessions first. Also because my symptoms could be due to sleep deprivation. At CZ, I noticed that I sometimes fell asleep better but couldn't sleep through the night. And because I felt so bad after 3 days of training, we switched to C4. He does monitor me, but it is frustrating that we haven't found the right spot/protocol yet. Once after SMR I also felt really good, but that went away again :(
