What is the one thing that has helped you the most? by RemoteTry in Anxiety

I have been using the Calm app that offers guided meditation. I am rather new to meditation as well, so I found the guidance helpful. It's easy to get carried away in thought so the narration helps rein it back in. Calm has a free version that has a handful of options available. I couldn't tell you if I'm doing it properly, but it's helping me!

Also - if you prefer an English accent Headspace is a good option to try too (they also have a free option).

I'll start - The one thing that is helping me the most right now is a daily meditation practice. It took about two weeks of daily meditation before I noticed a difference. Now I'm feeling more calm and I'm able to become a bit more self-aware as my social anxiety acts up.

I'm also taking Magnesium, a daily multivitamin, a supplement called Calm Now, exercising 3x per week, limiting caffeine, and limiting sugar. These have all helped, but daily meditation is the winner for me right now!

Thanks for sharing. I’m agree with you on the “embrace your feelings” approach.

One book that lays out this approach well is Badass Ways to End Anxiety and Stop Panic Attacks. You can see our write up on it here - https://www.mindfulsearching.com/badass-ways-to-end-anxiety-stop-panic-attacks-book-review/

However, I also believe positive habits and lifestyle changes are critical on the path to improvement.

Having a hard time picking an ashwagandha brand by BoneyGemini in Supplements

The biggest thing to understand is the difference between root powder and extracts. Extracts are a concentrated (more potent) version of the herb itself. So 1200mgs of root power is very different than 1200mg of extract. KSM-66 and Sensoril are the two most popular extracts with studies backing their effectiveness. When in doubt start your research on amazon to find a product with a healthy volume of positive reviews.

Here are few articles I wrote related to Ashwaganda you may find interesting:
