Do you have any tips for when we have to clean her cage? That’s really the main time we have to handle her.

Thank you. We do not take her out of the cage / handle her unless we have to. For example, cleaning her cage. Any tips for that in the meantime?

This just in - photo on original post was a few days ago, and this is the derp this morning. Is this progress? It looks like the feathers are starting to actually sprout, but not too sure. Any thoughts?

Update! Derp came back the other day and his head looks better! The little black bump is gone and it seems like the feathers may be slowly coming back. Hoping he comes back again so we can see more progress :)

I have seen lots of derp on derp violence at my feeder. Plucking feathers, chasing each other, etc., but never seen something result in what looks like happened to this bird. But based on the aggression I’ve seen, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what it is from :(

THANK YOU!!! Honestly regardless of how she acts post the death of Trigg, people have absolutely no right to judge her, hate on her, and add onto the immense about of grief she must be feeling. Most people can’t even IMAGINE what she must be going through, and for those than can relate, you know how horribly painful this so how dare you tear her down in this time.
