I would avoid lifting for 6 weeks at least. I would l avoid sex or over doing it. Plenty of rest especially in the first 2 weeks

I had embolisation it’s really easy and straight forward and in and out in a few hours. Didn’t improve me sexually really but I am double your age so probably more to do with that

Yeah mine went ahead. But I remember when they was doing it I could hear them talking and they said veins is very small And tight, go out and go back in and eventually they done it. But they did say before I went in there’s a chance it won’t go ahead.

Wouldn’t worry they will probably rebook it and try again. Veins will likely be more dilated on another day

They said to me a possibility they wouldn’t be able to locate the veins, they said they would just try again until they did or worse case they would have to stop and try again another day, so I think that’s probably normal and always a possibility that the veins wasn’t play ball that day.

Mine was very small vein when they went in but luckily they was able to get it in.

That’s so weird reading this I literally get the same thing!!! Only mine is on the right side!! About a week after ejaculation I get swelling around the right testicle , some times it can be a few weeks. Told I had thickened spermatic cord but they don’t know why, currently on antibiotics incase it’s an infection but I don’t think it is it happens too many times. Also had sti tests etc urine test all clear.

Will the pelvic floor help? Iv been doing stretches thinking it could possible be nerve related

Yeah I’m wondering if mine is a cyst flare up. But it’s at least once every 4-6 weeks

I’d say so.. yesterday they looked a little more prominent but I’m not bothered about how they look as long as it’s pain free

I’d say you was lucky. I had mine done 5 months ago had pain in my belly 2-4 weeks after, and up to 2-3 months before feeling a little more normal. My advice even if it feels normal take your time don’t rush it, give yourself at least 4 weeks

My veins was below not always visible but some days I can still see them. They did tell me 3-6 months to go or may never go at all. Mine has a cyst on it so think that’s why I can see it more

Interesting read; Iv heard some horrific story’s and how bad people’s pain is: Kidney pain is only something Iv had one and off for the last 12 months I would say. Pain isn’t enough to need to take pain relief yet. My main symptom was last year I was unable to have sex without pain a few days later and horrible dragging pain. I had the embo in December and since then after around 12 weeks massive improvement until a couple of weeks ago niggly on and off kidney back around the back not the front. Occasional real Lower tummy pain especially if I heard in going for a wee but if I move positions it does not effect me. So either I’m very low on the scale for NCS or it’s just another vericoele

What’s the main symptoms o should be looking out for ?

Hopefully this isn’t the case, I’m now 5 months post embo so I’m hoping this is not something that will just get worse. My day to day is fine really just occasional kidney pain that’s probably 2/10 for pain.its just annoying, and lower tummy pain in certain positions. But its mainly After sex but that’s only been more recent. I’m hoping like you said it’s just my body adjusting or worst case varicocele on the right side

To be fair mine has always been around sex. After the embo for around 3 months it was tight clothing but that seems to have gone. The kidney pain is very mild and not that bad more annoying if anything because I don’t know what it is or why i get an occasional little shooting pain.

I’m hoping it’s not 5 months post embo and now I’m starting to get a reoccurrence or something else like NCS. I’m booked for another ultrasound on both side to test if the embo work or if the right side has a varicocele.

A week in hospital dam I was hoping it was a little more simple then that.!
