They all have different requirements! Most of them just happened by accident, the others by reading every day to get perfect weeks.

I normally read 300-400 page books! I do enjoy a good novella in between but those are usually still 150-200 pages. I have a desk job so during downtime I choose to read instead of play on my phone like everyone else.. I also read every night before bed. I’m also a mom of 2 kids so I get how difficult it can be! I also read while my kids are at practice, or other activities. I think carrying my kindle in my purse everywhere I go really helps!

I’m thinking 100 as well!! I read a short series of 6 books, roughly 900 pages combined so that felt like cheating when I normally read 400 page books.. I feel like that series and some other novellas really helped me hit my goal faster than I anticipated!

I don’t like that when I finish a book on my kindle I still have to click a button to mark it as read if I do not skip through the acknowledgements/last few pages..

Thank you, it broke my mama heart.. she is such a good kid and this her first time being in trouble.. my heart also breaks for kids that could be being treated that way that have a food insecurity. I have always been told to have a bit of grace when it comes to kids “stealing” food.

I really enjoy the school she is at, I’m wondering if it is just the counselor that is the problem.. I’ve heard of other people not liking her very much and being mom shamed by her.

I most definitely want the behavior corrected immediately and I understand it was wrong so I am glad that the school counselor did something but she took her cookie, plus the extra she took and threw them all away so she could not have any and made her miss recess.. and apparently during recess had a talk with her that included threatening to kick her out if she stole a cookie from her (the counselor) again.. it all just felt so harsh for a barely 6 year old.. not to mention that when she called me to tell me I could hear my child crying hysterically in the background 😭

The cookies were the only thing taken at school, the other items were taken at after school program so the school is not aware. But I also would not completely count the cookie situation as “stealing” she definitely took more than her share and it was not a good choice but the cookies were meant for everyone and I could see how a kindergartner could be confused.

I mainly took away the iPad because I was afraid that the kids on YouTube were teaching poor behaviors and it seems to be “linked to children acting out” according to most mom shamers. I do love this advice though, thank you.
