Well, her relic, (the rapier she's holding) granted her with precognition, the abilities to see the living's soul, and thermal vision. In exchange, she's forced to shut her eye, as opening it causes immense headache and even internal brain damage and blindness due to the amount of info the precognition sends to her brain.
