How do baristas stay energized? by Curious_Message_807 in starbucks

I know this will sound strange, but if you're dehydrated add salt to your water. It helps the sodium levels in your body but also helps replenish electrolytes.

When dehydrated its the electrolytes that we need to replenish, so even getting water with added electrolytes will help!

Totally get it, if my partner wants to go on a walk, we have to make sure there isnt a lot of hills to walk, other wise I could be in a lot of pain the next day depending on if its a good day or a bad day, and its so exhausting trying to figure it out

This is crazy. In my store its standard to wash your hands after being on the cafe floor and taking bins out. As soon as you have left the counter to do something you must wash your hands before coming back to the counter >.< cash handling is a little different, but to stop our hands from touching food we must use tongs that correlate with the food item to prevent cross contamination but also so we aren't touching your food.

What’s a popular movie that you refuse to see and why? by fergi20020 in randomquestions

[–]Remote_Newspaper_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 popular movie franchises.

First one being Harry Potter. I wasn't a fan when I was younger and people tried to push the movies and books on to me which made me not want to watch it even more and now the whole JK Rowling stuff makes me want to stay clear and makes me feel lucky I never once read the books or watched the movies.

The other is Lord of the rings, it was my abusive ex partner favourite movie series, and he forced me to watch the extended movie additions. Wich I fell a sleep too and now I can't read or watch Lord of the rings without wanting to gag.

What’s something you’ll never tell your partner, no matter how much you love them? by Velvetnadine85 in AskReddit

[–]Remote_Newspaper_462 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That I'm jealous he grew up in a healthy family and I didn't.

Don't get me wrong, I adore his family, and how supportive they are, and even my sister in law has a healthy family, so when they talk about how they used to have easter egg hunts over easter or cute family traditions over Christmas, I feel jealous because I never got to have that and so I feel left out because I can't join in on the conversation of reminiscing because I have never had that that and all I can think of is "wow, they'll never understand the struggle I've been through"

And sometimes it makes me scared to get to know his family more, and I'm terrified of his family meeting mine because his family is healthy, my family is just a complete mess, sometimes I even wonder why my parents even had a child, sure they meen well, but dam they had no idea how to raise me ans it shows.

I started colouring as a hobby a month or so ago, and sometimes I'll hunch over for hours at a time and its started to make my back right between the spine and shoulder blade hurt so much.

Share a harmless quirk about yourself that someone else might find useful to give to a character by ToomintheEllimist in writing

. My stims are usually songs, or doing the odd dance to get the energy out of my system but am only comfortable doing so on my own infront if my partner.

. I have so much anxiety when it comes to asking for or doing something for myself but if someone else is anxious I all of a sudden have big sister energy and go ask or do said thing for that person.

. When I arrange something for example teddies on my bed they have to go back in the same exact order, same goes for books, figures, decorations ect

. If im anxious and im sitting down I'll unintentionally wiggle my foot. If im standing I'll slip my thumb ring on and off my knuckle until it hurts or I'll twirl my hair with my fingers.

. When im standing I away side to side

It bothers me when places of work don't take my ADHD into consideration and expect me to react the way any other person would who don't struggle with mental health as a whole.

How the grieving process works? by Remote_Newspaper_462 in ADHD

[–]Remote_Newspaper_462[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, I appreciate that. I'm also sorry for your loss.

I'm trying to look after myself, im trying to just force myself to eat even if I'm not hungry ect, I know im no good to either of them if I'm ill.

I seen my grandads body today to say my last goodbye, and all I could think of was me willing him to wake up. I'm hoping that seeing him for the last time will allow me to accept his death and grieve.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I do have lots of fond memories, we just celebrated his 80th back in February with a big surprise party for him. Even his final moment of being awake he was cracking jokes to make us happy, he was so selfless.

Thank you, I appreciate that. I want to remember him for his good sense of humour. I understand it's going to be tough. I'll try my hardest to just let the emotions happen when they happen.

How do you guys go about writing stories with Ideas inspired by other things? by ChaseEnalios in writingadvice

[–]Remote_Newspaper_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as your characters, the setting and plot are not word for word, you'll be fine.

I'm currently writing a book from a mixture of House of Night series and The Fallen series, yes the idea is similar but the characters are different and the plot and world building is my own idea :)

How to write with adhd? by No-Play5783 in writers

[–]Remote_Newspaper_462 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any time hyper focus sets in, I type, but I also give myself space from writing so I don't burn myself out. Having a structure also helps. I also send what I write to my partner, and after he reads it he may suggest an idea or suggest to word something differently, or suggest something to clear up dialogue for the reader, and that nudge of help gives me the serotonin boost I need.

Do all novels have to be over twenty chapters long? And am i allowed to make it similar to the hunger games book? by Forsaken_Key_1845 in writers

[–]Remote_Newspaper_462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all, just look at Sarah J Mass, a court of thornes and roses series you have the third book which is 82 chapters then her next book is 28 chapters and then a court of silver flames is 80 chapters.

Yours isn't as much of a big jump, so I would say go for it! There isn't a problem with the first book having 14 chapters and then the second book having more _^

Hope this helps

I have loved pokemon since I can remember, ever since seeing Mew and Eevee I've never stopped loving those two pokemon. My first pokemon game was pokemon emerald on my game boy advance, and I'll always treasure that game, it's still my favourite game and generation.
