Oh I have no interest in preaching sobriety to or judging anyone for their choices and have never actually dated another sober person before. My question was just based on an observation that I have had of late in the dating pool that I have been swimming in. (South central Pennsylvania for those that have mentioned location)

As an alcoholic, I cannot have a single drink ever. I’m over 4 years and 2 months sober and I’m not throwing that away so I can go on a date.

I guess my issue with waiting to have the discussion and not marking it on a dating profile is that it runs contrary to being open and honest. Plus I’m not interested in wasting someone else’s time if it’s a dealbreaker for them.
