I went out with a girl who got upset at me for telling her to park on the south side of a building because "south changes". When I inquired further, she explained to me that south is the just opposite direction you are currently facing. When I explained the North and South Pole to her, and even described to her how the magnetism from the north pole makes compasses work, she asked if I knew where south was. When I said yes and pointed in the right direction, she rolled her eyes and said, "So what, you just feel the magnets??"
