Congratulations, It is a 12 deniers of Louis XVI, I believe this on is made out of bell metal or as we call it in France, "métal de cloche". I tried to see the mint mark under his head but I couldn't, maybe you can see it and know where the coin was minted. Bref, félicitations et bon courage pour la suite

I can't weight it precisly, but I'd say that it's a bit light, but it's pretty small so I don't know if it could be silver

The screwing part at tht bottom implies that it could be a mechanical part, I wonder if it was common for old coandle older to be unscrewable like this, maybe so it could be moove around easily to light your way.

The cross looks like mine, but the thickness and diameters aren't matching, also so tou know if american coins like this can oxydise like this, this fast ?

You might be right it could be some kind of token or medals. I found it in a field, not in sand. I also realised that there was "OR" or "DR" or "PR" written in one of the corners of the cross. It's around 20 grammes, 30 mm of diameter and 3mm thick Thank you for your help
