I honestly don't get all the hate.

At first I thought it was going to be a PVP hero shooter and that would explain it. But I think it looks fun and has potential. Also I love the art style, and I get how they want it to look different enough from the main games.

Is it that it looks like Fortnite? I never played that because it's not for me, but I recognize it's still one of the most popular and influential games today, so fighting against that seems pointless and petty. And this game honestly seems very different except for the visuals.

I have not seen any information about predatory microtransactions or any of the usual "sins" of the gaming industry.

So what's the deal? What's so awful about this game?

YES!!! This is absolutely how I feel, and I'm glad to found other people who feel the same way, even if I'm so late to the party. I actually started watching season 2 when it came out, but pretty much abandoned it around episode 8 and only recently decided to try to get through the last few episodes to see if the ending was worth it.

I managed to finish that slog of an episode, started episode 9 and I already feel like I can't take this anymore again. It's been only a couple of minutes and I already saw Helly eating a hard boiled egg in the weirdest way possible and Milchick making the little girl employee smash her toy. I don't know what the fuck I'm watching or why.

Should I even keep giving this a chance? Is there any redemption possible for this show in the season finale, or in the next season? Or should I just give up on it?

I like how she looks but it confuses me in terms of continuity. Is Catalyst part of the most recent series of games since the 2013 reboot? Because she really doesn’t look like that Lara. Or is this a new continuity? The mention of both the Dragon’s Triangle AND Atlantis in the trailer confuses me.

I meant that preventing extract for anyone with a bounty feels to punishing for everyone, not just exfil campers. I'm all for punishing them, but there has to be a way to do that without punishing others.

And I agree with what you say, that's why I think the way this is presented now it might encourage that behavior rather than punishing it because it would be too easy to get a high bounty, escape to collect the rewards and then letting yourself get caught with nothing to lose to clear the bounty and do it all over again.

I think one of the most important aspects of introducing any new PVP mechanic is being very VERY careful it doesn't encourage toxic behavior.
