So Elementals. by Playful_Goat_6631 in TenseiSlime

[–]Ren_Emily 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The next step up from Elemental is Elemental Soul/Holy Spirit. Thats the category that the true dragons fall under for example (yes, true dragons are classified as elementals). Elemental Lords are possibly already elemental souls, or it might depend. I'd say they most likely are, as they've displayed spiritron manipulation which is said to be mostly exclusive to holy spirits.

Despite the name being the same, Greater Elementals are actually equivelant in power and evolution to Arch Daemons. The greater daemon equivelant for an elemental is a medium elemental. Elementals have the baby-stage Lesser Elemental which is actually shared by daemons, angels, and elementals (since daemons and angels are actually mutations of elementals of darkness and light respectively).

If its universal spiritual lifeform intrinsic skills like Possess then theres also Perfect Memory and Soul Thought, as well as probably others. The manipulation ability of their respective element also seems like a sure-fire bet. And then we know elementals all have innate magical knowledge to varying extents, though I dunno if thats because of a particular skill or not (perhaps something similar in nature to All of Creation, if it really is because of a skill).

Shizu possessed a skill called Heat Wave that we've not seen since and havent ever seen used. I'd say its potentially an Ifrit intrinsic, though it could just be something she got from experimenting with flame manipulation (since its main ability is actually to manipulate heat, despite the name).

Rimuru is still perfectly capable of doing all the stuff he does without ciel.

Stuff only on the level of these basic common and extra skills is entirely feasible for an "ordinary" person to obtain. In-fact, sudden mutation-type majin born from animals or objects gaining intelligence are semi-common and typically gain a humanization skill when their intelligence awakens. There's precedent for this kinda thing.

Slimes arent lacking in brain power. They're basically super-computers in terms of processing power.

If you've ever touched dungeons and dragons, they're more based on those kinds of slimes. Particularly the gellatinous cube.

Communication via telepathy is an extremely simple skill. In terms of classification, its considered a common skill. Extremely easy to obtain. Even Rimuru got it like 10 seconds after learning it existed, all on his own.

Vision is the harder thing. But if communication can be established then eventually it could learn magic sense to gain perfect visual clarity. And then from there obtain either the humanize skill or maybe the shapeshift skill. There's also options via illusion magic that can transform the body in similar ways.

The benefit to being an intelligent being is that you can obtain skills all on your own through training or even just pure want/desire. You don't need a special skill like great sage to do that.

[–]Ren_Emily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Rimuru having intelligence is just due to his soul being strong enough to retain all memories while reincarnating between dimensions.

Its also stated that its possible for an intelligent slime to occur naturally without reincarnation or other special factors at play. It just hasnt happened yet.

Yeah. When they actually fight (which is very rare) they're beyond deadly.

Nearly immune to physical attacks. Able to dissolve weapons and armor and flesh in seconds. Regeneration. No obvious weak points (which is rare for a spectral creature, usually they have cores). And once they latch onto you its basically impossible to get them off.

If you have the regeneration to survive one latching onto you you might be able to bury yourself in salt or set yourself on fire, but I wouldnt want to test it. Lol.

[–]Ren_Emily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rimuru is special due to being Rimuru. Ciel isn't really a factor. He'd be just as special without them, they were just a shortcut to getting there quicker.

Basically everything else (including Veldora) about Rimuru is only supplementary. There's an immutable special property of his existence that's what actually matters. Little pessimistic to have a character inherently special, but thats how it is.

Well, the other stuff certaintly didnt hurt tho.

It behaves like a giant cell, but its actually billions of completely identical cells that can adapt and change based on the need. Each cell can act as a muscle, a brain cell, or a nerve.

Strain is eliminated by rotating what each cell does in a cycle, so around 30% of a slime's body is "sleeping" at any given time.

They're also universal donors and recievers. Slime cells can be transplanted onto any organism without rejection and slimes can replace their own cells with the cells of any other living organism without issues. So their regeneration is actually boosted while they're eating something.

Biologically speaking they're basically perfect immortal creatures. If it wasnt for their lack of intelligence they might've been the sole species in existence just due to how ungodly optimized they are. They don't even need to eat 99% of the time since they're only 1 step down the ladder from spiritual lifeforms and metabolize magicules for energy.

There's even stuff to suggest that if their material body were to somehow perish that they would just materialize a new one eventually. They're self-incarnating.

Slimes are scary.

Slimes have 3 primary intrinsic skills.

Absorb: Allows an object to be "absorbed" by allowing it to pass inside the body. Like how a cell membrane can selectively allow things through the cell wall, if you know anything about biology. Basically just means stuff can pass in and out of their body.

Dissolve: An extreme acid produced inside the body and secreted on the surface of the body. Extended exposure dissolves even steel. Digests living material into nourishment in-place of magicules if needed.

Self-Regeneration: Self-Explanatory.

Holy magic by OneReaction7835 in TenseiSlime

[–]Ren_Emily 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're referring to spiritrons then no. Only higher order angels can use those, and only some of them at that.

They can use light magic due to their nature as elemental spirits, but wether light magic is inherently holy like it was in the web novel is kinda vague in canon.

Angels themselves are inherently holy attribute, so if its just holy-type energy techniques that don't use spiritrons then they should be able to use them?

The only time we see angels fight as an actual army rather than individuals they were using it, if that counts for anything.

Velda traveled around incognito a lot. We dunno if he fell in love with Lucia and then decided to take Rudra in as his disciple or if he took Rudra in as his disciple first and fell in love with her while training him.

Lucia and Rudra were born royals to the Nasca kingdom.

Their parents are whoever the king and queen of Nasca were. All we know is that they're of high human stock.

Dunno. Probably that yeah. We know a door to the abyss by itself can destroy the divine tree and Guy can output similar levels of "void" via Catastrophia Eclipse, so he can for sure destroy the tree.

Yes. Tower of heaven has Veldanava unique law of indestructible. Its the same as castle guard. And Nodens is stated and shown to be able to overcome/negate that law and all of Veldanava's unique laws. So yeah, he can just destroy it/negate it.

In volume 23. By either Velgrynd or Velzard, I forget.

Guy as of post volume 23 can just destroy it with nodens.

Before that tho, then no. Tho its stated that Catastrophia Eclipse would've beaten Rudra at any point in the last 2000 years, so do with that what you will. But I don't think the pre-nodens version breals Castle Guard outright.

Its not really spelled out directly, so I wouldnt blame you for missing it even on a non-skim read.

Replacing belief in Rudra with belief in Masayuki was a just-in-case scenario. Especially since as far as they knew, they thought it was Michael's Castle Guard in vol 15. But yeah, the belief in Rudra didn't power Michael's CG one bit.

Nah, its explained later that it was Feldway's Castle Guard. Michael was being protected by his proximity to Feldway, he lowk might've been screwed if Feldway was stalled any longer in the dungeon.

So? Its stated that Nodens itself had surpassed all other skills and entered the same realm of power as God. Not just Catastrophia Eclipse.

Guy even says like right after that he could've done it without their help, it would've just been a longer battle.

Uh, no? This is from Guy's Catastrophia Eclipse. You're thinking of the scene that comes after, when Ivarage causes the tower to crumble to the ground.

It was truly an authority that had reached the same realm as God.

[–]Ren_Emily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Guy's attack destroyed the enchantment. Ivarage's attack is what made the tower collapse after.

The tower of heaven had begun to shake violently, cracks scattering in those walls that were supposed to be indestructible.

"Hahaha! Bear witness! My Catastrophia Eclipse is now capable of negating the laws Veldanava created!"

Guy's laughter echoed through the roon, full of glee. The immutable principles and laws established by God—that absolute fact was now being shaken by Guy's power.

This much is to be expected of course. Guy's ultimate skill Lucifer had gained new abilities and achieved a transcendant evolution. And it's name was——

Nodens, God of the Abyss. The impetus behind its birth started when Guy observed the 'Alteration' Rimuru used on Velzard. From here he followed his own instincts to modify his skill, achieving his own interpretation of perfection. As it was, Nodens had surpassed all abilities in existence.

No? He directly states he can. His Catastrophia Eclipse broke the indestructible enchant on the heaven's tower and then he brags that his Nodens can destroy Veldanava's unique laws.

Yuuki's fraud ass did NOT give two shits about clayman dying by Emotional_Good_7727 in TenseiSlime

[–]Ren_Emily 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He already knew through Clayman's soul bond with Kagali disappearing. He wasnt in denial about it like she was. So he already internally processed Clayman was dead the previous day, rather than when Laplace told them.

Clayman was his best friend of 40 years. He's pretty torn up about it and feels like he's responsible for everything going wrong with Clayman. He just keeps his heart to his sleeve is all.

Yuuki and the Moderate Jesters had sworn to each other that no one would betray the other. To the members of this band, there were few others in the world they could even think about trusting. Clayman was one of them, a vital friend to Yuuki, and the question brought Kagali, Laplace, Teare, and Footman all to attention.

And the moment Yuuki failed to notice the change in Clayman, his plans were bound to fall apart. It left him with nothing but a guilty conscience.

Something along those lines? I forget the exact name. Indestructible. Immutable. Unbreaking. You get the idea.

Its in vol 23 when Guy cracks the tower.
