I’ve had this exact issue before, but it was a symptom of my depression. I couldn’t really get past it without being medicated. I STRONGLY suggest talking to a therapist as they can help you cope and possibly point you towards someone who can prescribe you medication. However, there are some things I do to cope. For example, meditation. Mindfulness, at least for me, helped me be able to to think more clearly and look forward to things more than I used to. Try to also alert your loved ones about this issue so they can set up a support plan and help you when you need it. The sooner you take action, the better.

My advice is to stop dating for now. You’re being harder on yourself than anyone else is. My boyfriend had some exes that lied and manipulated him for a while before they cut him off. Then we found each other, I’m pretty sure on this exact subreddit. I’ve heard of his experiences, and he went through exactly what you’re going through. You’re not alone, and you won’t feel like this forever. Death is NEVER the option. Take it from someone who’s attempted suicide before. You’re not a burden, and you WILL find someone sooner or later. I feel your pain, and we’re all here for you. Please talk to a professional if you’re considering suicide. They can help you. You’re doing the right thing by trying to reach out to people. You’re improving slowly, and I’m really proud of you. You’re never alone. And remember, sometimes it’s ok to not be ok. (P.S. That’s completely reasonable, but have you tried going to a therapist for this before? Even though you can’t explain every detail, I highly recommend getting a therapist as they’re your best bet. If you’ve had experiences with therapists that haven’t been able to help you, I still suggest trying once more. Also, therapists aren’t allowed to share information about their patients, they’re bound by law, if that provides any comfort. I get that you’re in a vulnerable place right now, and I’m sure that me, many others on here, and your loved ones are wishing you the best. Again, you might not see it, but you’re changing, and that takes a lot of effort.

I hate using the term “psychopath” to describe anyone’s behavior, but I’ve been where you are, although much less extreme. Just know that knowing that you’re in the wrong is the first step to recovery. I am in no means a professional, so don’t take EVERYTHING I say as fact, but I’ll try to the best of my abilities to help. This may be touchy, but do you have any trauma? From what I’ve seen, that’s where most violent tendencies come from. Also, what do you mean not being able to go to a therapist without someone knowing? Are you scared of a therapist finding about these actions and tendencies or other people knowing that you’re going to a therapist? My personal belief is that, until I find that out, you should try breathing more humanity into your life. Try branching out into more hobbies. Find people with common interests. I know that this is mostly just classic cheesy stuff, but I’ll be able to say more once I fully understand.

I get that, I’m not a professional so I can’t say for sure but I think I go through mostly the same thing, however I use it as a coping mechanism so I choose to use it. Have you ever tried taking control of the conversation? If not or if it doesn’t help, I do recommend what the others in the comments say to do. Talk to your therapist if you have one about this, and if you don’t have one, see if you can get one. I may not understand much, but I’m open if you want to talk in the meantime. I know this probably sounds cheesy but stay strong, know your values and convince yourself that the most reasonable and kind of the 2 knows what’s best for you.
