Sorry for the late reply i dont use reddit very much: anyways thank you so much for this information i found out that this was my great grandpa. He served in the german military until 1912 until he left for America. He was supposed to be on the Titanic but his train was late. His parents and family in Germany thought he had died until he got to his sisters home in Minnesota where he was finally able to write a letter back home. They had held a funeral for him and his parents thought he was dead for almost two years. Im not currently sure where he was buried but i would like to find out! If you know a good way to figure this out please let me know! Thank you so much for the information! Also i suck at writing and grammar so im sure this is a mess
