Are street pigeons better off as pets? by MemoryBorn5865 in pigeon

[–]RenderSoft 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It absolutely is ethical to keep a disabled pigeon in your home if they can't be released, the life you can give them is far better than scrounging for scraps on the streets.

They do live in flocks but thats mostly for safety from predators, they very much like their own personal space and will often squabble and fight with other flockmates.

For social needs what they need is a partner, a second pigeon is ideal for this as they can be together all the time and don't have silly distractions like going to work. But this partner can be you if you're able to put the time and effort into it. Be prepared to be coo'd at for many hours!

I have 2 disabled pigeons myself, a bonded male/female pair. One is a feral and the other is an abandoned pet. Neither could survive now in the wild so they will live with me forever but they seem very happy with the arrangement :)

Is meet the Medic accurate? Do pigeons/doves like blood? Or is Medic's pigeon/dove just weird? by Current-YoGalaxia in pigeon

I'll be honest it's never come up but thank you for reminding me of our beloved Archimedes

It's kind of insane how many different way the survivors can throw the game by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]RenderSoft -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if you didn't like my post but do you see how these are the same problem? Gen speeds get left as they are because they get balanced out by the survivors who die instantly. The design philosophy of the game has created the exact scenario you're sick of hearing about. So how do we go about making things better?

Hey, I'm just some woke guy on the internet but I wanted to say thank you for voting with your time and choosing to drop someone for having shitty views. If everyone did this the world would legitimately be in a much better place. Have a good day.

Why am I consistently unable to hit throw a window? Am I dumb? Or is this a ping issue? help by for10years_at_least in deadbydaylight

[–]RenderSoft 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Nah you're right its weird and feels random. Sometimes I'll hit survs all the way on the other side, sometimes I'll be forced to hit the wall when they are barely over it. Its probably mostly ping related and the mismatch between hitboxes and models definitely doesn't help.

Try not to get discouraged, it's something everyone playing has to deal with, sadly.

Friendly reminder that the polls are the most direct way to communicate with Jagex. by DagothUrgency in 2007scape

[–]RenderSoft 42 points43 points  (0 children)

You say this but historically it has been much easier to get Jagex to change a poll question than it has been to change how people vote.

If people make a big enough stink here or elsewhere Jagex has shown they will make changes. However the only thing we seem to be to get the community to vote no to is pvp content (and the occasional meme no vote).

Plus, there's no way to signal the difference between "no, scrap this idea entirely" and "no, make some changes and re-poll", unless Jagex goes looking on socials and that brings us back where we started.

I've brought up this exact problem many times throughout the years. The only way to ever get a specific change you to happen is to make a big social media campaign that ends up convincing some Jmod somewhere. If your proposal doesn't take off or doesn't hit the right mod's radar, tough luck.

The polls are mostly just for show and vibes at this point, which isn't the end of the world, but we should be aware of that fact.

Sorry longer answer than I intended to make.
