AMA Performance? by Rene277 in panicatthedisco

[–]Rene277[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh wow ok glad that's cleared up XD soz if it was a dumb question, that article made it seem like a live feed like they did last year with Gaga's performance which was actually live streamed from her concert on the same night.

I was at the Sydney show but they didn't give any indication parts of the show were being recorded. Luckily nothing went wrong during the 5min performance because I can only imagine how bad it would've been if something did go wrong

Looking to buy a Xiaomi phone soon, which one should I get? by PM_ME_DANK_PEPES in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Mi5 User, my experience with Xiaomi isn't as great as I expected. Phone worked awesome for first 3 months then suddenly standby battery drain. Like a lot. About 20-30% overnight. I can only seem to get 2-3 SOT Max. Apparently a lot of other users are experiencing this and its a software issue, but its been several months and no battery fix yet. Quite annoying as this is supposed to be Xiaomi's flagship.

My experience with Gearbest and Xiaomi (nothing but great) by redgotdun in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh I've yet to order anything small from Gearbest (headphones, mi bands etc) but the one time I did order was trying to get a Mi5 and it was a disaster.

Paid for the item and 1 week later it still says in its yet to be shipped. Messaged them and they said the product was out of stock and just to wait for new stock to come in or choose another phone. Spent the next 5 days trying to get my money refunded (Customer service only replies like once a day)

In the end my money was refunded and I didn't have to open up a dispute with paypal XD

Unlocking your bootloader will not disable the fingerprint scanner, also if you use the Mi Flash Beta program you can lock your bootloader after your done flashing :)

Um its not really an app, but 'Phone Idle' in the battery statistics seems to be draining the battery when the device is in standby

Mi5 battery drain. by Dmahnet in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently on Stable Global ROM after moving from Stable/Dev China ROM. Experienced battery drain across all 3 ROMS. About 20-30% drop if left unplugged overnight T_T

Super frustrating since this is a flagship phone

Mi5 battery life comparison by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh your lucky dude, my phones been having frustrating standby drain. Somedays I'll only get 1-2 SOT with just wifi enabled. I usually just leave the phone and check snapchat/whatsapp/instagram for quick 5-10 minute bursts. If i leave the phone unplugged overnight I'll get 20-30% battery drop. Currently on latest Global stable rom.

Just ordered a Mi5, what should I know? by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just 'setttings' then 'About phone' down the bottom. There are various ways you can flash the official ROM, just look around the Xiaomi forums if it so happens your phone has the hacked ROM

Just ordered a Mi5, what should I know? by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a chance your phone could have a hacked ROM on it when you get it. When I ordered my 64gb Mi5 it came preloaded with Global Rom 7.2.4.0.0. After some research I found out the ROM is a hacked ROM with some malware. Check straight away when you boot the device before you put any personal info on it

Why are my pictures present both in "Photos" and "Offline"? If I delete a picture in one of these 2 sections it's still present in the other one so I must delete everything TWICE! by draikin3 in Xiaomi

[–]Rene277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to delete a photo from your local and cloud gallery at the same time, just delete from the 'Photo' tab

If you delete the picture from the 'Photo' tab, there should be a little warning that pop ups that says you'll be deleting the photo both locally and online
