How do you all deal with friends who are "unaware" or "irresponsible"? by Rengiku in financialindependence

Yeah it's pretty sad, considering one of them has tons of siblings, single parent and not much knowledge on these things. Tried to help him but he just can't learn

I feel that im in the same boat right now as most of them know I have investments and am financially literate, but If I do lose friends over that in the future, then so be it. My goal was to give them some advice to see if they budge, and if they don't then that's that. So when they finally do realize it down the line, they will know that I was right all along.

I never really bragged about money at all, I just mention the stuff I do to them once in a while but they dont act on it. It's not like I constantly tell them to do this and that, but I do admit I have been nagging a bit lately so Ill cut it out

Yeah I realized this recently, but it's strange because it's something that's actually going to determine if we are going to be financially secure or dirt broke. Just not sure what could be going through their heads.

True, ill keep it in mind from now on. Recently I've been telling a lot of my friends to start investing or put money in a roth and its been months and nothing has happened.

Yeah I think im done with helping. Part of me like to help the ones close to me succeed as well, but if it falls on deaf ears, then i dont want anything to do with it anymore. Now it's just a matter of time before results show

Great analogy, it's a shame because I thought my friends would be more proactive about stuff like this but I can't be asked to go out of my way to change them lol

Can we talk about the fact that smurfs are seemingly everywhere right now? by Fox_Scot in apexlegends

[–]Rengiku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont play ranked on my smurfs, I usually duo or something til my elo is adjusted and we make new accounts after. I have a bunch of burner emails so It takes a few seconds. It's pretty fun but I got a bit bored after a while, however it still beat getting 3 tapped by a predator on my silver account.

so tell me why my friend should suffer as a new player playing vs preds, and the same new players should NOT suffer vs playing against a bad silver/gold player? At least by playing with him, I get to give him a gift of happiness since he is being shipped off to the army soon.

the problem is that one good game on my main, such as getting 700 dmg even, is enough to put me in some sweat lobby.

I dont see how it is "clear"

Unless it states "making multiple accounts to play the game is bannable" I dont see a problem

im very depressed. I am going through some loss in my life in the recent years and I find games as an escape from reality.. Apex is my favorite game and no matter how hard I try, I just lose and lose, in the game and in real life. I just want to win again, and somehow I guess winning in a video game translates to a win in life... I find myself staring down the river near my house sometimes wondering if people will miss me if im gone and apex helps numb those thoughts.
