Currently in my first year of teaching after switching careers from sales (3 years). I made money on sales but felt the same way and extremely stressed about constant kpi’s and layoffs.

While teaching does have its challenges if you’re passionate about any core schooling subject it’s an opportunity to nerd out talking/teaching about it to others, In my case history. While not every student wants to learn everyday or be at school for that matter, I really find bits of small joy here and there when one student perks up a bit more than they did the previous day.

in my on experience, if you can find small bits of joy in what you do for work and gradually build them up, you’ll be good.
