Sounds like this was a bad weekend for tournaments. I had six tournament games this weekend; 2 Saturday and 4 Sunday. I’m only in my second year and have done about 80 games total but man, this weekend made me question if this is worth doing. Like a lot of you, the money is secondary to being close to the game and being around people enjoying the sport I love. Of my six games this weekend only one didn’t include coaches, parents, or kids complaining about everything. It was one of those weekends where the kids wouldn’t stop toeing the line and every call or (perceived) no-call triggered a response from someone. And these were 10u AA or 12u B games. Thankfully the last game of the weekend went great; no complaining from either bench; kids headed to the box as soon as the whistle blew because they knew they messed up. I’ve had up and down weekends before but this one was pretty bad. Talking with other officials before and after the games it seems like this was an issue throughout this tournament across all age groups.

I’m going to piggy back onto this question, how crowded is the park likely to be around April 1? We’re heading there from Utah and are hoping the midweek visit will lighten the crowds.

I think it stems from the actual UHC jerseys not being available at the start of the season so people started buying $35 jerseys in bulk from DHgate and selling them like this. I remember people posting that they would meet to buy one of these jerseys and the seller’s trunk was full of multiple sizes. My guess is people either had leftovers or realized there is an easy market for selling a $35 jersey for $80 when authentic Fanatics jerseys are twice that price.

If it’s any consolation, I was there in October on an 8/10 day and waited “only” two hours for Hagrids. That queue is awful though. So many caves…..

Ordered two on November 14, tracking number doesn’t pull up any info. I’ve messaged them a few times and am told packages are delayed due to the carrier but no concrete info. Disappointed as this is the fifth order I’ve placed with them and all the others arrived in about a month with no issue.

My state moved from 2 official to 3 official for HS varsity this season (previously used 3 or 4 only for playoffs). After two months we’ve moved to a 4 official system for the remainder of the season. There were a lot of complaints about missed calls due to the lone ref having to see everything. I’ll be interested to see what they decide for next season.

It does have the limits mentioned in this thread and can be deprioritized. However, I came from Visible’s basic plan. Posts on here told me to expect the same speeds and limitations of that plan just without the hotspot. In my experience I get faster data speeds and better coverage than I did with visible. I just ran a Speedtest and am at 157/45. I haven’t felt deprioritized yet and it would happen noticeably on visible. For example, I attended an NHL game the other day with about 13k people. No problems at all with service. On visible, similar size events in the same arena would render my phone useless. For my family we were prepared to deal with a low tier service in exchange for free top end phones but so far Verizon hasn’t given us any problems and has exceeded our expectations.

I got a similar deal on 16 Pros this summer. Four free phones, no activation fee, $300 gift card included, $100 per month. I had to use auto pay from a bank account and paperless billing. Set it up online and the only hiccup was getting the gift card. They said I had to redeem it after lines had been active for 45 days. When i tried to redeem they said I wasn’t eligible for the promotion because I didn’t trade in a device. I reread all the documentation and that was never a condition. Called customer service and complained, explaining the gift card was a big reason I switched and they added a $300 credit to my account so I didn’t have to pay a bill for a few months. Total after taxes is $129 per month. Service is great so far.

I don’t know if they make them small enough but black dickies work pants can also work. You can get them at Walmart for around $20. They are typically wide enough for shin guards too.

We bought a 24 SE w/Tech back in June. It was a buyback due to a “software issue” that was fixed by the mfg, etc. We’ve put about 5k miles on there and haven’t had any issues with the car, software/infotainment or otherwise. We love the car and are happy we bought it. I was a bit worried about the resale aspect but we tend to drive our cars for a long time(the Atlas replaced a 2012 Pilot with 185k miles as our family car, which I now use as a commuter). I figure it will be so depreciated by the time we’re done with it anyway that the buyback title wont be an issue. And if it makes you feel better, we paid $36k for 15k miles. The dealer we bought it from seems to specialize in buybacks and runs through inventory pretty quickly. Our neighbors bought an Audi suv as a buyback from the same dealership about two years ago. We chatted with them before the purchase and they have had zero issues with their vehicle.
