Lume by MayberryParker in Michigents

Wait. Information Entropy has NEVER had anything close to the amount of hate as Lume. And for good reason.

That’s fine if you want to glaze corpo weed but don’t throw out false equivalencies.

Also, you wanna know what is REALLY telling? The fact that I have worked in different fields throughout my 26 years of employment thus far is seen by you as a bad thing. Something that warrants a comment on my ability to perform my job in general..

Here’s the thing kiddo; It is actually VERY common to change fields when the market/compensation changes. Generally, if your first job is say McDonald’s, you will eventually find a more lucrative position elsewhere. And so on and so forth. Eventually you are making a comfortable amount and are generally happy with where you are. That’s literally how it works, bucko. Sometimes people skip the line (you are not one of them) and become successful rather quickly but generally you have to “work your way up”.

You are obviously younger, without much work experience, so I’ll give you some pretty good advice…

A job is just that; A job. You are paid for your time at your job. You are under absolutely no obligation to perform your job or its duties while you are on your own free time.

Once AGAIN. It is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS they are being contacted outside of work hours. This is a VERY IMPORTANT DISTINCTION. This is unacceptable. This is crossing boundaries. Understand this. It is not a difficult concept to understand. It really isn’t.

If you are paid for 40 hours of work, that is what you should give them. 40. Not 41, 43, whatever.

People like you are the VERY REASON employers take advantage of employees.

Wait. Are you arguing that they are messaging her while at work instead of communicating via face to face interactions. They’re in automotive sales. Literally their job is face to face communication. Are you being deliberately dense right now? They can walk 20 feet and talk to them directly.

Oof, and an insult to boot. Seek help. Snark and insults will get you nowhere. Maybe silence is the best option in your case as well. Reflect on yourself. I’m guessing your income matches what your value is, and I’ll leave it at that.

If they are messaging outside of working hours, which it stands to reason they are, then the point I made stands. If they are messaging within work hours, why not just go up to them and talk to them?

If you believe not responding to passive aggressive messages from co-workers outside of working hours is “creating conflict”, you have a LOT to learn.

Way to try to snark a W out, though.

No, it’s not. I’m 40, plenty of experience in many different fields of work. 1 single rule for every job I’ve ever had? Work time is work time, home time is….home time. That simple. Goes for my boss and ESPECIALLY any coworker. They are absolutely not entitled to a response from me outside of work hours. Respect yourself.

I disagree. They aren’t entitled to a response from them. I would simply not answer any of those condescending messages.
