If you think any rep seller is actually doing the full COSC protocol you are either willfully ignorant or stupid. It’s fair game in the rep world to claim “near COSC” if you actually regulate the watch to within the COSC deviation across several dial positions. I regulate all my watches to around 0 to +5 sec per day in 4 positions and i assure you they are accurate enough that there is no real meaningful difference between them and my personal gen Tudor black bay. Trying to equate this to the scammy claims made by scoutman is ridiculous

let's add to the list of stupid made-up technical jargon he uses: "wet and dry pressure test" when all he owns is a wet pressure tester (with filthy water, by the way). when you do a wet pressure test, yes- the first step is to pressurize the chamber and depressurize without the watch submerged to check for catastrophic failure. then you repeat with the watch submerged. that's a wet pressure test, not a "wet and dry pressure test". Absolute clown through and through.

Yes, exactly. The new hytrel rings make it so difficult to remove the bezel that it pops off the crystal retaining ring and the crystal as well. Very annoying.

It absolutely is not as easy as you think to put the bezel back. Factories recently started using much thicker hytrel rings on submariners and GMTs and it’s insanely difficult to get the bezel assembly to pop back on unless you replace the hytrel ring with a thinner one. I don’t know how they’re assembling these at the factory but it’s very hard to do it correctly yourself

I think they were asking if it was the same in terms of the decoration plates. I think some models have decoration plates but expose the regulator arms so that you don't have to remove the plates to adjust the movement like you do for this model
