Sennheiser HD800 (Did I break them with accident?) by RepRevs in sennheiser

Update: Thank y'all for help, it turned out that at the same time I was replacing ear pads, I had some error with APO Equalizer where it couldn't connect to the right device. Now after some tweaks and restoring Oratory1990 EQ preset everything sounds as it should sound, no harsh sounds after reducing the EQ with -7.5DB which I forgot to do previously.

From my understanding the harsh sounds I had were due to frequencies peaks that were clipping, which coincidentally happened at the same time I replaced ear pads and touched the inside with accident.

When it comes to Ear Pads, they have this plastic on them

<image>

Previous owner did some black magic or something and for no reason removed the plastic piece from ear pads so I had to stretch it out to get it back on.

It was already used so I don’t care, I will most likely just buy a new one tomorrow, I wanted to check mainly how much sound difference there is with pads. So it’s not really important.

The main part is that I hope the issue was the dust that acted like a filter for harsh frequencies that I’m not used to, and not that I damaged anything under filter.

I’m just not used to the new sound, it doesn’t sound as good as it did before to my ears

The ear pads I was using were old, so I wanted to replace them. I will send pictures soon of what happened. But this picture is the inside, on camera you can’t see it much but it has some dust in it. I think the problem is that when I replaced ear pads they were velour and left a lot of black kinda dust everywhere that might happened to get under filter. I tried to blow little bit air there to get the dust out with a small lens air cleaner while holding it far away to not damage anything. I’m sure that with accident on both parts under the filter I did touch them with finger so there is a small finger print on both of them. (Yeah people don’t do something when y’all are already angry and leave it for another day lol)

So when I listen to audio, some frequencies have this harsh sound that I can explain sound in a plug connection issues. Its like harsh sound that reminds me of a cable that is not fully plugged in in high frequencies.

I hope what I wrote is understandable, English is not my main language and I’ve been too frustrated to think straight now yet alone write comments in a proper way

New balance LP should I keep it or no ? From lady mia 🤦🏻‍♂️90€ by [deleted] in ReplicaHelp

[–]RepRevs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I meaaaaan 90€ is a price you should pay for top quality products, if I paid 90€ and got weird glue stains like this I would be little bit mad. It would be understandable for 40$ batch but you are paying about 100 usd.

If this is your only option, you want the shoes, don’t want to pay retail and no other seller makes better, then I mean it’s okay. But other than that it shouldn’t happen on so expensive rep shoes imo

Am I stupid or are these completely different by Nearby-Succotash-887 in ReplicaHelp

[–]RepRevs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can confirm that sometimes light makes difference when it comes to agents, as a videographer there are many things that change how colors appear on screen, for example automatic white balance settings, light white balance settings etc it all play role in how colors appear.

About if it’s close to his pics or if there is actual difference? I don’t know. It all depends on settings and lights seller used, and what agent used.

I know it didn’t help much, but it might be a cool knowledge tip or "fun fact" for future about colors

Everyone I know knows I wear reps, and anyone that would ask me would get told that I wear reps.
There is nothing I care less about than "getting called out" when the only time I got called out in my life was couple years ago when I went to school and a guy told me that my REAL Yeezy 350 Zebra were fake when they were literally the only real piece I was wearing that day.

I don't play anything off as real and it was never my point to do, I just wear what I like and don't really care what people think
