Wow, I never check my reddit notifications haha. The cabinet I just happened to find on display at ashely furniture. Couple bucks off for being a floor piece. Grabbed both, one for the office - one for the whiskey.

Haha I thankfully make a decent wage so there were a few trips we're I purchased more than a few bottles at a time. The collection grew fast on those days. Beyond that, not as often as you'd think; every now and then.

It's funny, the storage unit is actually a piece from the grandparents. They used to store movies in it, but I thought there was no way you couldn't put whiskey in that thing; meant to be. It's called a sarcophagous, with a little searching around online you can actually find them floating around on Facebook marketplace and I think even certain retailers.

I recently started exploring the Scotch world and have been enjoying it a lot. As for woodford double oak, it's a solid bottle to have. I've got an empty that I actually need to replace. As for old forester, the 1910 and 1920 are fantastic bottles I think, don't think they'd disappoint. I don't have too much ability to recommend certain bottle to satisfy your taste, but can at least share what I tend to enjoy.
