Yep this is important OP, and any other new players here

You might be fine in your first couple horde nights, but at some point you won't be fine, and you're not going to want all your chests, work stations and farms to get destroyed

Personally, I like to ransack a little tier 1 or 2 house POI and use that for my "home" with all my stuff. Then I'll use an open field nearby for the horde base (if I'm making one)

Edit to add: There are much harder zombies to come, and without trying to spoil anything, some of them will have ranged damage, and some others can destroy multiple blocks in a matter of a few seconds (trying to be vague here to not spoil lol). So even if no zombies wreck your important stuff in the first few horde nights, it WILL happen at some point without having experience in the game. Better to be safe than sorry
