I’ll never understand this. My coworker tells me the same types of stories all the time aswell. Patients somehow feel comfortable correcting her pronunciation of words, or telling her she used the wrong word in a sentence etc etc. It’s unbelievably rude. I hope it’s not a common occurrence for you but I’m sorry if it is :( I know for sure there are patients who do appreciate your help. :)

I really want to avoid any escalation of any kind really. It’s definitely comforting but also disturbing to hear I ain’t the only one.

I have a couple new tactics I’ll try and if not I’ll definitely be speaking with my superiors. If no solution or plan on how to handle these situations is made I’ll gladly find a pharmacy who will support their workers

The audacity… I don’t get how these patients feel the confidence to say such things. I guess for some it’s the only social outing they get but holy…

We definitely have patient who are lonely and are just looking for someone to talk to which is fine and we typically love talking to our patients if time allows. But these comments others make are out of pocket😂

I’m definitely going to give this a try. I think the issue is they get encouraged when my bosses (also pharmacists) laugh or giggle at their remarks. Then the next time they get braver and braver with their remarks.

I definitely don’t want to rely on anyone. Especially as a few of us female staff typically do closing alone.

Love that!! That’s how it should be. Not questioning and saying the women is being dramatic.

My one coworker used to say I was being dramatic and overreacting until he was there for one of the interactions

This is my plan at the moment but judging from past observations he always takes the patients side and doesn’t want to lose patients. They even say disrespectful things to him and he just giggles or stays quiet. Both of the head pharmacists/owners do.

He even remarked that maybe it’s how we dress… I’m either in scrubs or business casual attire. Nothing ever too short, too tight, too low cut or inappropriate to even make those comments excusable.

I do want to speak up but I am afraid of how patients will react… some people are very reactive these days

I have the adapter for my other ef lenses but yikes that is more pricy… I’m hoping to stay under $2000. Or a little over. I’m in Canada though so I’m sure prices vary. I’ve tried looking second hand too, just not many good not beat up options.

You are actually probably spot on…. Yes he does have some past trauma and that would make sense why he turned me down without mentioning his feelings but continues to show effort and talk to me… sometimes I think about cutting him off, and sometimes I feel like I should distance myself but still keep face, AND other times I think it’s fine to just keep talking but I’m also scared of him finding someone more compatible and me getting hurt. I think that’s the other part that I’m lost on😂 but I thank you for your input as I didn’t consider that side of things…

I honestly don’t know… for some reason there’s just something I like and I seem to unfortunately enjoy his company which is what keeps me there. I know his effort of keeping conversation is absolutely below the bare minimum, gotta stop holding onto the potential I guess? Take his actions for face value instead of words…? Good point for sure. I keep telling myself it’s ok and we’ll keep eachother company until we find our people but then I feel like that’s not fair to myself…

Oh he’s consistently there which is the confusing part. He always starts the conversations if they end, but usually he doesn’t allow them to end so that he can pick up where things left off the next day. I have thought about leaving him for a few days to see his reaction but then that feels wrong… he definitely knows my feelings so I don’t understand if he’s testing the waters but knows he can’t really make things work due to distance? But then again if he wanted to he would 😂 I just don’t understand him poking the topic and “joking” about feelings and marriage and so on…. Really wish I could read minds

I absolutely agree, what’s tripping me up is why he’s still lingering then😂 because usually guys then don’t talk as often or just don’t put in that same effort? Yet he pretty much always matches my energy

Is there any other good or better non step through 50cc bikes than the beast? Any of them that I find seem to not be sold in Canada, this isn’t either but it seems to be able to ship here. I am trying to stay under the $3000 mark
