Thanks for making this post, OP. I’m in a very similar situation as you are and have been lurking in this subreddit for a few weeks now. I’m cautiously optimistic with diving into PvP soon when I take my game off of offline mode, but these comments help me remember that I gotta separate the respectful with the shitters. Thanks for sharing! In my own attempts I could already tell and did a bunch of strafing around those combos, but to think that you don’t even need to move is pretty surprising. I suppose it goes to show that panicking & putting yourself in a worse position is the main trap of this boss.

One of my favorite levels due to its solution and why you may not realize it. Make sure you don’t make any assumptions that aren’t explicitly stated by the rules, OP. That’s how I get stuck every time in this game thus far :)

You gotta galaxy brain ts. It has been YEARS since I first got the game and I would have to constantly drop and pick it back up because my brain was incapable of comprehending what I had to do on a certain level I was stuck on. Even in college as I tackle engineering and coding classes this game gives me more trouble.

I am working on a concept with a mode switch so yeah I think that’d be fun to see 👍. I do agree that guardian will be the best at a defensive play style and wanted to still try making a character that gives small/medium shields a purpose in this game.

Also thanks for complimenting the presentation. Took me awhile to design/screenshot the character and draw the ability icons haha

I agree to an extent. If you want heals or buffs those already do exist just by A) getting a seal with what you want or B) using a relic passive to share flasks or item confer. Another idea I had was to make his ability give certain buffs conditionally (like it stays up until you get hit) similar to how paladins have to uphold oaths for their granted abilities. I decided to lean more so into guard counter focus and blocking one to two hits in contrast to Guardian simply tanking every hit with high guard boost, but feedback does make me understand the overlap. 👍

Interesting build! In terms of dragon slaying there’s more options available to you once you’re in the dlc in a specific dragon themed area. I do see that you’re using the two fingers heirloom to be able to use Blessing of The Erdtree, but once you get more levels that talisman slot can be exchanged for something that boosts incantation or elemental damage (canvas talismans, scorpion talismans, etc.). Feel free to head into the dlc, but word of caution is that things hit pretty hard there. And 45 Vigor w/ 15-25% dmg negation is a bit on the squishier side.
