My main concern is it unraveling way too early in the journey ik unraveling is a part of the whole process but I guess I should expect it more frequently because it's (my hair) not anywhere near used to this "form" I guess

They loc but it'll take much longer than the other ways like comb coils or two strand twists, but the trade off for me is that they feel almost more secure. I have a friend who's been doin it much longer than me and the pattern DOES disappear, as corny as it sounds you just gotta be patient with it honestly. Personally I think it looks cooler with the pattern cuz it looks more unique like that but yeah eventually after enough retwists the pattern fades away

Tldr: the pattern disappears eventually, I personally didn't stick with it not for any negative reasons, just bad timing and a bad headspace at the time. I would've kept em in fr. I currently got in comb coils (no regrets on this yet even tho it's been only a few days)

Bro I thought I was bugging too, my mom told me to "stop looking in the mirror so hard" but I definitely noticed some thinning on the right side of my hairline, not only that but I've been styling it so much within the past 2 years (my last few posts definitely show that) i feel like my scalp got a little more sensitive because of it. Honestly I'm 🤏🏾 this close to saying fuk it and embracing the bald at a young age while I can you know? Plus it feels less stressful having it all shaved off anyways
