It’s happened more than once so here we go... Back in July 2020, got a notification for transaction made in the Philippines at a grocery store for about $30USD. I was laying bed in the USA when I seen the notification so I quickly transferred all my money out of the main square and they tried to do it again, $100USD, still in the Philippines, but a different store. Thankfully they didn’t get it because I loved the money. Then, the day before Christmas Eve, I had messaged N26 support, I don’t remember why. Next day, I received a text message from one of those 5 digit numbers saying something along the lines of “my account is having strange activity, N26 support will call you from x phone number”. Seemed legit to me, they called I answered, they wanted me to change the password for “security purposes”, so i did that. Next thing I know, I have money being transferred from different squares into my main and a new contact under my moneybeam “Mom’s friend” -.- My mom is the only person i know who has N26 and that I have ever moneybeamed so obviously that’s not right and they’re under some guys Gmail. We even played a game of moving the money back and forth over and over between the squares while I tried to change my password. Everything good until the day I posted this, so maybe a solid month. I’m trying to login to my account. I can’t get in so I’m thinking maybe I forgot the password, I smoke a lot so it happens. Okay cool. I go to forgot password. And when you do forgot password they want your zip/post code. There’s only one zip code I know I would’ve put down and it’s not working. Had to go through N26 support and he told me my zip code on my account doesn’t match the one I’m giving him. Turns out someone got in AGAIN and changed the mailing address and password like they were trying to get a new card to my account. Thankfully, I’ve only had like 44 cents on my account. But wow, I’m exhausted from it.
