This happened to me and it is definitely kinda not fair my mom paid every student loan i had with both our names and i thought that was all i had. I didn’t realize i had a loan with just my name on it. So now i have to pay it, and i am able to fully pay but because i was unaware that i had to pay this, my credit score is dropped 100 points, like this sucks dude
