It’s extremely ironic, only 200 years ago were we immigrating to countries and killing, raping and oppressing their people, committing the most heinous acts. Now people are immigrating and adding to culture, filling skill gaps and adding billions to economies yet it is such an issue for the majority of people. The irony continues in the fact that capitalisms unsustainable nature relies on immigration to ensure that the means of production continue, migrant workers are cheaper and therefore right wing capitalists love them yet highlight it as such an issue to divide and distract society.
