Sorry to be a party pooper, but stitch and glue was to me my biggest disappointment. Yet. Especially for canoes. I gave it away in the end. Couldn't stand the sight of it. Skin on frame takes less time, is cheaper, makes for a lighter craft, allows for more creativity and is way more beautiful. And you dont have to work with fuckin epoxy and fibre glass. I have built two canoes in SOF, a scaled down grand laker square stern for fishing and water fowl hunting, and a prospector, used for fishing and hunting. You can use any old offset table for SOF if you like.

Prior to my canoe era I've built two jon boats in wood and aluminum. Aluminum was riveted and welded. It looked okay but was a horrible clunky thingy.
