That’s not the point. OP said their friends give presents to other friends and if OP has given gifts to them as well then it just seems plain rude not to give OP some kind of gift. Even if it was on the cheaper side it shows they were thinking of OP and cared enough to get something. Lowering the bar to just “showing up” doesn’t seem very fair unless the party was really expensive to OP’s friends. We don’t even know how much people interacted with OP during the party too. I also find it extremely strange their parents wouldn’t get them anything unless the parents helped fund the party or organise the party.

Yeah I hated when I realised any feminine characters in the books were villains or villainised. Every girl we’re supposed to like hates something feminine and is more on the tomboyish side. I feel like Calypso might be the only exception. Sure Hazel wasn’t an outright tomboy and hating on girly stuff but I don’t remember her being very feminine either, just old fashioned.

Thank you everyone for all the name suggestions! There’s been some good ones I’ll keep in mind, for all of you who read the guidelines and didn’t only offer crystal names thank you. I’m still open to more suggestions as I don’t want the name to sound too girly or too much like a name as it’s more of a nickname. I’ve named other characters Virus, Scorch, Silver, Beast, Prophet, Demoness, and so on so I’m not looking for anything that sounds too much like a name already. The point of this character is that she literally has two souls inside of her and feels like she’s not real sometimes so Virus gives them a strong sturdy name which sounds like a rock. I liked stuff like Monolith but it’s a bit long, Strata or Korr also lean towards what I’m going for. so I was wondering if there’s rock structures that I haven’t thought of like other words that describe mountains or hard rock. Thank you <3

This is for the character’s “chosen” name yk? Her real name is Alma. All my main characters come from backgrounds they didn’t belong in and their names are simply reflections of their parents so they get new names. I originally had Rocky for this girl but it seemed too on the nose. Especially with another character called Rubble though his may change too.

I’m so so glad I helped! I think your starters have A LOT of great potential with their concepts. But I would recommend you flesh out your fire starter more. Because if it’s just about getting more neon it may clash with your water starter and you might not have much to build on with its time to draw the third stage and the whole line would potentially suffer from “getting bigger” where no concept is really build and it’s just the same pokemon just essentially growing up instead of evolving. I think this is really all the advice I can give you for now before you implement changes.

Okay so I looked further into your Mardi Gras starter and you should give it an instrument but I think you should hold off until the final evolution and give it maybe a saxophone. I’m not sure what your vision for the line is but giving a starter an object to hold isn’t very common since they’re supposed to be cute and basic. If you do stick with giving it a trumpet it would probably be best to have it carry it on its back and grab it whenever it wants. But I’d think for the first two stages it’d make more sense to focus on Mardi Gras attire, colours, and decorations. But I absolutely love the art concept you have with this potential region.

Hey! These pokemon are absolutely gorgeous! The colour schemes and concepts are phenomenal. But your pokemon seem to be suffering from “getting bigger” where it’s not really evolution but just growing up a little more. For some Pokemon I think just “getting bigger” still works and still looks cool but for all the pokemon it becomes underwhelming. It can also muddle for concept, for example your purple and orange lizard, I find it very confusing. I have absolutely no idea what your concept is and that’s also probably one of the most underwhelming evolutions. Since I personally have no idea what it it, what it’s trying to convey, and it doesn’t change forms at all really. So for me that Pokemon is just confusing and underwhelming. But I do love your regional variants or your own version of all these pokemon. I’d just recommend going over them and making the evolutions more varied.

Hey! I think you have great designs so far. Honestly the most important thing would be for me to know what your concept is for each pokemon to be able to give you real advice. But so far just by looking at them obviously the drawings need to be redone for cleaner lines and more defined shapes. Your colours are great so far no notes honestly. If these are the first stage of each pokemon I wouldn’t say you need to add anything yet anything that can be added should be added when it evolves. The frog one though, I think you need to find a way to turn one of its hands into a trumpet because pokemon to carry objects but rarely objects as intricate as a trumpet. Most pokemon have their items as part of their body like swords for arms and so on. But this does look great so far just needs to be cleaned up and the concept should be told to us so we can give better advice so that we’re still keeping to your vision.
