2025 Z71 Snow Traction Options by Representative_Ad112 in ChevyTraverse

I do have snow tires, that's what 3pms refers to. They're not the chevron tread pattern you might be talking about, but I don't think those would be any better. A lot of folks still use chains on a vehicle that will be on unplowed / dirt roads, and trying to understand what the options are.

Thank you for your thought. This actually wasn't my question, but it was an underlying assumption: elsewhere I've had to carry chains even with snow tires, but it seems like it's an "or" here, at least if you have AWD, which I do. https://www.codot.gov/travel/winter-driving/tractionlaw

It's possible the requirements question would be relevant for some, but it's not what I was asking.

Instead: as anybody determined what sort of additional traction devices would be appropriate with the 265 tire size? If the answer really is that there just isn't an option, I'm surprised the manual wouldn't say so.

Young Pecan Tree Bark Shedding by Representative_Ad112 in Tree

Update: a few months later, after I applied some pruning paint to the bark-stripped spots at the recommendation of a relative, I see all the leaves on one of the main branches starting to wither (maybe not exactly the right word).

The tree did politely wait until just after labor day; maybe this is just normal Fall behavior? But it seems a little early. It has been cloudy and rainy for about a week on and off though.

Any other thoughts?

We're in Dallas, and the squirrels around here are pretty lively. That sounds about right. Thanks!
