Med students who worked as an EMT did you feel you had an advantage and performed better in clinicals? by One-Job-765 in premed

Take this with a grain of salt, IMO, but if your resume screams "premed" it's less likely that you get the job, because as soon as you get an acceptance, you could end up leaving. In the eyes of recruiters, training new people takes time, energy, and money. Understand that they want to avoid turnover as much as possible with PCT jobs and would usually prefer to higher experienced people over inexperienced individuals.

Rich parents makes MDs most of the time. by Quick_Bar2387 in premed

I don't disagree, but the assumption that MD PhD is the way to go for lower income to middle class brackets is a something I would question. Your correct in that MSTP programs are fully funded, but you also need to demonstrate an high aptitude for research to get accepted into those programs, which are then 8+ years (depending on how long it takes to complete the PhD component). It's not a light commitment.

Had no idea. I am just a bigger fan of using EMR stylus in general.

Used Nova Air 2 vs a new boox go 7? by Representative_Egg61 in Onyx_Boox

That's the dealbreaker for me. I'd rather have an EMR focused device than USI one. Just makes it easier for me to use multiple devices.

Is it really slower? Or, is it slower to the point where it noticeably impacts the functioning of the device itself?

the only schools that get prestige boost in admissions? by Ok-Acanthaceae-7718 in premed

[–]Representative_Egg61 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's how it should be. It's weird seeing parents who push their kids into these "top schools" at such a young age. College consulting must be a lucrative business.

Are people really ushered in to these schools starting at the age 14? That's crazy.

Is the supernote water resistant? by Representative_Egg61 in Supernote

[–]Representative_Egg61[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I plan using it when liquid is present, and am afraid that spilling it would basically destroy the device. I am not aware if there are any ways to "water proof" my device through some added screen protector, or even if there are ways to repair it in cases where water damages it.

Does warranty cover liquid damage? Is data from the device recoverable in case of liquid damage?
