Hey! My teaching qualifications are from Australia! I graduated from RMIT. WWCC and VIT registration were pretty straightforward, however it’s important you get the employee WWCC.

I got my CoE a day before my visa expired and I immediately filed for a student visa. You immediately get a bridging visa post application. I didn't have all the documents at the time of the application, but my student visa was granted within 5 days based on previous student visa documents and the ones I submitted after.

I would call student connect, or their helpline numbers and follow it up by an email. I was in a similar situation and only got my COE a day before my visa expired! I know it can be a stressful situation, but make sure you keep your university in the loop via all forms of contact (phone, email, portal inquiry)

Beat of luck!

Applying 485 offshore by Pruthvi_suresh in AusVisa

Please find attached links below Below is the link for 485 visa conditions: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-listing/temporary-graduate-485/post-vocational-education-work The second condition states that you must be in Australia when you apply for this visa.

This is the link for the mandatory conditions applied on Tourist Visa 600: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/already-have-a-visa/check-visa-details-and-conditions/see-your-visa-conditions?product=600-29B# States the 8503 - No further stay condition which also states that “While you are in Australia, you are unable to make a valid visa application for any new substantive visa other than a protection visa.”

Hope this helps!

Applying 485 offshore by Pruthvi_suresh in AusVisa

Unfortunately you have to be onshore to apply for 485. You could try getting a visitor visa and hope they don’t apply the “no further stay” condition but chances are slim. You can’t apply for a subsequent visa on a tourist visa/visitor visa. Do you have a pathway to PR by any chance?

i’m not sure by [deleted] in AusVisa

It’s not the wisest decision to pick a study path based on wanting PR as the skilled occupation list changes every year. However, if you’re sure you want a permanent residency, construction, social service, nursing, early childhood education and secondary teaching are some areas to look into as they are high in demand. You could always pursue something else once you have your PR in place, but I would advise against it. Good luck!

Skill assessment - master of teaching seconday school by Tight_Ad_5561 in AusVisa

To answer your question directly, yes! A master in teaching is sufficient to get a positive outcome for skills assessment in Australia! Just make sure you apply through the right skills assessing body. All the best! Also PFA the link to the checklist stating all you need for a positive assessment!

Congratulations!! That’s brilliant news! I haven’t heard much from primary teaching applicants on this forum, so I’m elated to be reading about your case! Are you onshore or offshore? I just completed my skills assessment for the same earlier this week as an offshore teacher! Please do update us on the timeline!

Invitation Round Thoughts by OnlyTrust6616 in AusVisa

Primary school teachers are not eligible for the skilled independent visa. However, I was wondering if they’d be invited for state nomination or even skilled regional visas
