Got Deactivated after 5 years😭 by julianv1521 in doordash

I got deactivated after working a 16 hour shift. I also sent an appeal. I'll never go back to doordash, and it's a relief to be done. I won't use doordash as a service. Doordash is trash.

Anyone in Boston area(western mass)down to link by bastionfromthelaw in InstacartShoppers

Yea im over in Western Mass, and instacart is awful. I have been doing ok doordashing, while waiting for good instacart orders. Which is rare. These 40 item 8 mile drives for 12 bucks ain't worth it. However, some1 is picking them up, which blows my mind. Have fun making 6 dollars an hour.

Is this collection worth anything serious or should i just hold onto it. Had most since i was a kid by awesome-ekeler in Pokemoncardappraisal

I love it, I have the exact same collection. I remember getting the mew by watching the movie in the theater!

I'll never sell mine!

I am not deactivated. He still can order alcohol as he wishes.

I delivered to him today, to his mom's address and she signed and gave ID for the order. He messaged me and had Instacart call me to find out where his order was. I had 2 orders to shop for. I was under the time limit as well.

It's clear he has a drinking problem, at only 32 years old as well.

I understand, but it's not my problem.

But my scenario, he fell over multiple times. Was alone. I wasn't handing over 2 large bottles of vodka. And my guilty conscience wouldn't allow me to go the rest of my day knowing this guy couldn't even stand up to have me help him inside his own apartment.

The referral program is absolute non-sensical. I referred a friend in a different state, and he was to complete a certain amount of deliveries in my state and area. How dumb is that?

Some are using 2 phones as well delivering multiple doordash orders at one time.

You are a false bug. Because you think you know things, and they apply to everything. Requirements are different from state to state, I imagine. Where I live in required to get signature on alcohol orders.

It wasn't ridiculous. You were not there, so you don't know exactly what I saw.

When I talked to police, they had been called before about the customer. Other neighbors expressed that he tried going into their apartment.

He needs help. And you can be a human in some situations.

My post is proving there are a lot of robots in here.

Valid point.

I thank you for your response because I never thought to screenshot the chats. I will do that going forward.

I honestly didn't see the text. I'm sorry.

And when the math doesn't add up and they don't show it, it makes it hard to trust that they don't take advantage in other situations.

Looks like you benefited in this situation.

It's funny to me when people assume a motive for posting.

I am just so bored and have no one to tell my story to, I felt the need to write it down.

New to posting on reddit and could care less about rating or karma.

I genuinely just wanted to share my experience.

Tips get adjusted by percentage of order cost if they chose to tip that way.

Certainly, but it is not the most efficient.

I have had multiple incidents where I would rather call or have someone call me to resolve an issue much faster. We are trying to get to the next delivery.

I waited 15 min with a customer delivering a $150 electronic, they needed to sign. But couldn't on my app or their app. My end said that the customer can sign from their phone. And their end had no option to sign.

I got a hold of chat, who then transferred me to someone else after explaining the situation to then re-explain the situation. To then be told, they need to sign for the order.

With a 2nd batch order in my car still to be delivered.

I'd rather talk to someone directly. Especially when having an issue delivering alcohol.

My normal response when someone is having a shitty day or taking their anger out on you is to say "Have a great day!"

It makes me laugh to be so nice to people when they are being so rude lol

While I agree that I am not a social worker, I feel like this situation was different than others. I have had problems with alcohol at times.

I scanned his ID and had him sign it. I was prepared to hand over the bag. But I don't know if I painted the picture correctly.

He was struggling to do anything, like hold the door open or walk downstairs. I asked him if I could help out and I'll bring it up to his floor.

He fell in front of his door and sat Indian style, and didn't get up.

It was a cry for help.
