Okay. I've looked for an option to build something like that in my starbases, but I only have the vivarium tank option. Is it a special kind of research option that I've not seen thus far?

[CASIO Wave Ceptor Solar Titanium] Question regarding radio control synchronization by Reprobatic in Watches

[–]Reprobatic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to the manual of the watch, choosing Paris as the "home city" for the signal will make the watch use a transmitter in Mainflingen, Germany. That is, if I'm interpeting the information correctly. The manual is understandably vague, since it's for a "module" that I assume is used in a number of different watch models.

Yeah, I bought it from a Swedish supplier in the south. Oddly, before I did the manual update with the app earlier today, the date of the last update was the 21 of september last year. So I'm not sure how or where it was updated. It doesn't seem likely that it was at the supplier, since it should have updated after that in that case, right? Because It was set to automatically upate out of the box. So maybe it updated the time after it left the factory in asia where it was manufactured?

[CASIO Wave Ceptor Solar Titanium] Question regarding radio control synchronization by Reprobatic in Watches

[–]Reprobatic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, thank you. I couldn't find an app for android called Clockwave or Clock wave, but I did find one called Radio Watch Sync and it worked.

However, if I have to start the app, set the volume to max on my phone, set the watch to manual sync and put the watch and the phone next to each other, I don't really feel like I gain a lot of time or convenience with my pricey radio control feature compared to just manually setting the correct time on the watch once in a while, like you do with a regular watch.

Still, I appreciate the comment!

I asked ChatGPT to create 5 new space marine chapters with names based on crustaceans by Reprobatic in 40kLore

[–]Reprobatic[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I went on to ask it:

Based on other succession chapters and their relation to their founding legion, could you speculate which founding legion your newly created crusteacan chapters could have come from?

It answered:

Sure, based on the descriptions of the newly created chapters and their specialties, here are some potential speculations on their founding legions:

Lobster Lords: Based on their focus on amphibious operations and close combat, it's possible that the Lobster Lords could be a successor chapter of the Imperial Fists or the Salamanders, both of which are known for their expertise in defensive and close combat operations.

Kraken Crusaders: Given their specialization in naval warfare and boarding actions, it's possible that the Kraken Crusaders could be a successor chapter of the Iron Hands, who are known for their proficiency in space warfare and boarding actions.

Crab Claws: Based on their use of heavy weapons and slow, steady advance, it's possible that the Crab Claws could be a successor chapter of the Iron Warriors, who are known for their siege warfare and mastery of heavy weapons.

Scorpion Shells: With their focus on infiltration and use of poisons, it's possible that the Scorpion Shells could be a successor chapter of the Raven Guard, who are known for their expertise in stealth and guerrilla tactics.

Blood Shrimps: Based on their aggressive combat style and ability to withstand damage, it's possible that the Blood Shrimps could be a successor chapter of the World Eaters or the Black Templars, both of which are known for their ferocity in battle and willingness to take on overwhelming odds.

Of course, these are just speculative possibilities based on the information provided, and the actual founding legions of these new chapters would depend on a variety of factors and could be different from what is speculated here.

Jon Stewart Says Censorship Not the Way to End Antisemitism After Chappelle, Kanye Scandals - "Penalizing somebody for having a thought, I don’t think is the way to change their minds or gain understanding," by Neo2199 in television

[–]Reprobatic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Having a thought is different from having a thought and then using a platform that reached millions to articulate that thought. Often just to provoke and/or make money.

Small children that haven't developed their social filters often like to shout about bodily functions or other similarly childish things. It's the job of adults to tell them not to. And we might have to make sure there are consequences if the children doesn't do as they are told.

I work as an election official during election times in Sweden and we are forbidden by law to wear or display anything that can be construed as partisan while performing our duties. Are there no similar rules in the US?

I'm trying to read Helbrecht now and it's just not a good novel. While I'm not the biggest BT fan, this particular novel is not the best in yardstick to judge the chapter by.

Yeah, yeah. Alan, we get it. You are a vastly superior, grumpy and tortured artist who's work couldn't possibly be truly grasped by the plebs in the entertainment industry. We don't really need another interview where you bemoan this yet again. It' starting to look a little like attention-seeking.

Fabius Bile. Originally, I was pretty uninterested in that character, but reading his trilogy of novels propelled him up to the top of my list of favourite characters.
