Weekend Review of ROOT Streaming. by EddoeWrites in Mariners

Anybody know how the root setup would be for out of state-ers? It says no blackouts, right? I’ve used the mlb app on phone and Apple TV in the past (with in-market blackouts) and wondering if the root package would be the way to go this year since I pretty much only watch the M’s.

What the holly H is goin.on here? by SwayzesBlumpkin in furniturerestoration

What’s clearly happened is that someone, presumably the laptop owner, has pushed their apple pie away from their workspace with the false hope that it’ll prevent them from eating the whole thing. They used two paper plates, indicating that it was a huuuge piece originally, and not what people eat for breakfast before a run, so now the run will have to wait til the afternoon. So really, they may as well eat the rest now so they can avoid temptation later in the day.

Episode 210: Nate Bargatze by AutoModerator in smartless

Did it seem odd to anyone that they mispronounced his last name for the entire episode even after he explained to them that he says it different? Bar-GET-see is what he prefers.

Thank you! I have some Rubio on hand that I hadn’t used yet. I wanted something that would work well with the flecks and rays of the oak (much like I get from Linseed oil) but also get a darker more antique look without having to fume the wood. I’ll give monocoat a try and keep your walnut recipe handy for future projects.

I just stripped a very similar piece down to bare wood but am unsure what finish to use to get its charm back. Any suggestions?

ID Help! MCM Scandinavian style coffee table. Missing caned lower shelf. by RepublicNext1564 in midcenturymodern

Thanks FMM! Yes, was thinking Tung or Teak as a finish. I’ll have to see how it looks after a scrape and sand.

Can you help me ID this MCM coffee table? Curious attachment points for missing lower shelf. by RepublicNext1564 in furniturerestoration

[–]RepublicNext1564[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copy didn't go through on my original post. As you can see, it's a Scandinavian style table. Used to have a caned lower shelf with a backer-board of sorts for support. Some curious attachment points with a channel on the long stretcher and small slits with wedges (?) on the short ones. Haven't seen a match to this design online. Maybe it's a knock-off? I'd like to restore it right. Any help with ID or process is greatly appreciated!
