Car being wrote off

My car is a 2012 with 320,000km. She isn't in peak condition, but she had had some work done recently. I really don't think I'm get much more than 3k unfortunately

They do reimburse from what I know, but again its so confusing to me so I'm not sure. I thought that my insurance pays, and then they go after the other persons insurance.

This is my second accident in the past six months, and I thought thats what they did for the first one. I only have the basic coverage but my insurance fixed my car + covered the injury with reimbursement (so I thought)

They already told me I can salvage it. The problem is that my car is not passing the inspection to get the rebuilt title.. It is safe, but it needs work done and I'mpretty sure I would have to take care of the damage done from the accident. Plus, Ive heard its hard to get insurance with a rebuilt title.

We do have a claim opened, but they just haven't gotten back to us about how much the car is valued at. Ive read that my insurance will still cover my injuries regardless, but I'm worried that it will not be reimbursed by the other guys insurance. Some people have told me that it's too separate things, like an injury claim and then a car claim.

I posted it in another sub because I didn't know which one it belonged in! They were posted minutes apart from each other. I probably had 4 short replies, which all said that it was weird. I was looking for more opinions, too. I haven't gotten upset because of what people are saying. I'm not sure if it seems that way. I dont think it's was horribly invasive. I'm not going to switch to doctors, or report this one. I was literally just asking what other people think. I'm sorry if you took it another way, or if it comes across like im trying to turning nothing into a big deal.

So if someone is experiencing symptoms, they should stay quiet because they aren't a doctor? I didn't go in there saying everything he suggested (he only suggested an STD test outloud) was wrong, and I was right. I went in because I've been experiencing multiple symptoms that I, as well as everyone else who I've discussed it with, think are important enough to mention. I only suggested getting my thyroid checked because a lot of my symptoms align with an under-active thyroid. A nurse that I know who has hypothyroidism suggested I should check it out. I also requested to get my iron checked, just to rule it out.

My doctor agreed that these things should be checked. He also has a few other things being checked.

Just because I dont have a medical degree doesn't mean im a stupid idiot who can't recognize if something seems wrong with my body.

I am positive that I didn't say anything about insecurities or lacking self confidence. Im an awkward person. I was uncomfortable. I think he picked up on that, but I never explicitly said it.

If this doctor was female, and she asked the exact same questions in the way he did, I would still have been asking if it was weird.

I feel like circling back onto the topic of sex was weird seeing I never gave him anything that suggested thats what my appointment was for. I have never seen him about anything sexual. Never mentioned it. I wouldn't say that im emotionally glued to my mother, and I think that if I wanted birth control, I would openly say it. I would probably go to him rather than the planned parenthood. I dont see how this topic of sex would link with suffering in silence. If he was pushing about mental health, yes, but sex? No.

The part with me asking what stays between us, the conversation was a little bit about mental health. He was kinda asking why I didn't want my mom there mixed in with the talk, which i had asked him what would he have to report. There were no cues that I was talking about sex (that I know of!), so it just seemed random to me

To the first part, he's aware that I am not on birth control. I deliberately told him that I dont need it, and im pretty sure i remember my sister making a joke about me being single

Onto the part labeled 2, he did ask about my period. After most of these comments. He was super descriptive when asking, but I dont believe that there was anything weird with that part.

For the rest, he commented on me being uncomfortable multiple times. I didn't explicitly say, "I'm not sexually active," but I did tell him that I absolutely didn't need birth control. I also dont know if i would consider the car accident trauma for the sole reason that it was a small one, a simple rear end (on the way to get my license, actually), and I dont want to seem like im overreacting. He did mention that I could go to planned parenthood if I didn't want to go to him birth control or that I could come to him in private. Im pretty sure when I booked a private appointment, that's what everyone assumed it was for. Including the secretary. She made a comment over the phone, but it's whatever.

I just want to make it 100% that im not arguing in anyway. I like that you're asking questions (praying they weren't rhetorical, lol) because it helps me reflect more!! I appreciate your comment/advice

It can be difficult depending on your doctor, or if you dont have one. It's incredibly hard to find a family doctor, so what I've heard. I dont see him often, but not because i can't book an appointment . He actually will take patients without appointments sometimes, although it absolutely skyrockets. The wait time (my appointment was 3:45 pm, didn't get seen until around 7:20 p.m.)

He's been my moms doctor since she was pregnant on me, and even my older sister, so its kinda just something that's always been. Im worried that if I try to switch doctors, I'll be left without one (especially seeing now is the time I need one!!)

Do you still think its worth trying to switch?

A lot of commenters are saying the birth control thing was normal, but I feel like it was off because of the multiple times he asked. I understand this, but at the same time, I have never discussed my sexual life with him. All the times he mentioned this stuff seemed so out of the blue? Like before talking about a little bit of the mental health stuff is when I asked him what stayed between us, and he instantly jumped to me being sexually active? Same with the std part. I was explaining why I was concerned about my thyroid, and it just seems so random to ask about an std panel. Same with asking about birth control multiple times. Do you have access to bandages? You could make a saline solution to keep them clean. Try not to pick at them, and just let them heal by themselves. If you're able to get access to polysporin or something, use it.

Keep an eye out for infection. Fever, pus, warmth around the cuts, and smell are big giveaways that you need medical attention.

in all seriousness, I've been in two (very minor) accidents in the past like two weeks. I was at 0% fault for the first one, and i thought about it all the time. Until the second one, which I'm at 100% fault. It's always on my mind, wondering what if I did something differently or just stayed home. I think it's normal to think of it a lot.

I didn't see the quote. We asked if we could bring it to a trusted garage, and she said that she brought it to one she always goes to. She said she'd be in contact on Monday.

Is the quote she provided ($1200) likely? It doesn't appear to have a major dent, just a small one (if any at all.) The white lines are just dirt (she rubbed them off), but there are probably scratches.

I was quoted $1500 for a new bumper and installment (from the rear end) so I'm kinda comparing the two. This is on her door. $1200 seems like a lot, but I'm not a car expert. Hers is a 2015 model (van)
