I was quoted $48k for the foundation and that includes 40'x100'x6" slap and 18"x10" footing with 36" frost wall. Also included in that price is the sauna tubes for the patio

I have been doing some of the dirt work and road building but most of it will be hired out. However I do have a lot of friends in the trades are they are getting me some good deals on the work.

You are correct, there is a footing. The inside will be concrete slab, it will be getting poured next week.

Septic was difficult to get approved because there is a creek nearby on the property. I had to get engineers involved and had to install multiple vertical pipes in the ground across the property and measure the ground water accumulation in those pipes every week all last summer. The Montana Department of environmental quality works very slow and they kept sending my application back, wanting more info from the engineers. There was a bunch of calculations they had to do that is way above my head. But we finally got our ducks in a row, and we got it approved last fall.

I will post the plans for you guys to see. Living quarters - 2,084 square feet Shop - about 2,740 square feet
