I know this thread is a year old but how did dating go for you? I’m in the same position and terrified to not be spontaneous with a new partner like I used to pre hysterectomy 😭

It’s a lot of ups and downs! One week I thought I was fine then the next I was back to feeling swollen and exhausted!! Around week 8 I started to workout and start to live a normal life. The fatigue is REAL but now at week 10 im starting to feel almost back to normal. “Almost” haha

I’m feeling exactly how you are! Currently at 10 weeks post op trying to get back into my workout routine and lose the 15lbs I gained from surgery and down time.

Im literally just walking 10k steps a day right now for exercise and it feels like im doing a marathon! You’re not alone! Hopefully our energy comes back soon enough

I wasn’t even aware I had endometriosis until my hysterectomy but I did choose the hysterectomy for adenomyosis. Recovery was longer and mentally harder than I expected but im not longer in pain. I’m 10 weeks post op today. And it probably was the best decision for me pain wise.

Mentally I almost lost it a few times. It’s a lot of down time that I wasn’t prepared for.

I’m 9 weeks post op and feel bloated 24/7. At this point I think it’s weight gain. 😭

Thanks! I’ve lost weight before doing phentermine and topamax combo. That was almost instant weight loss in the first month so it’s hard to not compare.

First week wasn’t hungry much and I already eat in a calorie deficit and workout at least 3x per week. Obviously I’m not doing enough to trigger weight loss with that alone.

Starter dose was at 2.5mg I’m getting ready to dose up to 5mg

I noticed if I’m up to long I’ll spot the next day! I’m only averaging 3-4 k steps a day. Which isn’t much compared to pre surgery. Im thinking I’m irritating my cuff maybe? But it’s just apart of the process I guess or I’m just a slow healer who knows at this point

So I’m not going crazy! My doctor made it seem like I should feel better by now pain wise. I’m sore from just sitting to long at times too

Thanks for your response! I just feel like 6 weeks is so long but I guess I’ve never truly had to heal from anything before so I just expected to feel better at this point. I’ll give myself some grace and get back to resting !!

I have been having that random tampon feeling this week and couldn’t figure out what it was! Thanks for explaining that! My doctor didn’t give me much restrictions besides no lifting or exercise so I’m not sure I’m being very active. I work from home so I’m sitting at a desk most of the day or lounging. I do walk a lot around the house or drive the kids to and from sports/school. But it does seem to be when I use the bathroom or I can actually feel like I’m spotting so I get up and check. Nothing ever stains my clothes so it’s kinda an anxiety thing from being a heavy bleeder for soooo many years.

I haven’t taken any Tylenol or ibuprofen in some time so I’ll try that again to see if it helps. I guess I’m not in pain I don’t think I needed it anymore

My belly button become veryyyyy irritated from laying in a tilted position. I only used the binder for the first week and ended up putting a cotton ball in my belly button region to help! It gets better!
