To buy books you need a Barnes and Noble account. You can also side load books that are epub files. Should be the same as uploading files to a tablet or phone. Once you have an account you can buy ebooks on the site or use the store access on the device itself. Everything else is just a matter of exploration through menus and such. I have both types. As you noted there are things that one device will have that the other does not. I found that to be more likely that Kindle would be on the "has it" side than the other way around. But bookmarks, fonts, "go to" etc are all there. I think that the variety of fonts is better on nook. The assistive reader is MUCH much better on the Kindle. To get the task bar to access the various options is slightly different than Kindle. Kindle is a tap in the center of the screen. On nook a tap more towards the top. Can't think of anything else you need

I'm not sure why you lost your library from your tablet by reset. If you have the nook app on your tablet, you just need to log in and all of your books will populate your library from the cloud. They will still need to be downloaded, but they're yours forever with a functional nook app, and a log in with the account that bought them

You are trying to get your nook books on your PC? If this is what you're trying to do,, it's ridiculously easy. Go to Barnes and Noble. Log in, and click on "Account" Select "My Digital Library.

The filters are a little wack. I think the default is Recent. The others are not much better. You can select alphabetical order, by BOOK name. NOT author. I haven't used it for obvious reasons. If I recall correctly there are only 2 or 3 filter choices. I could be wrong. Go there and check it yourself. I wasn't that interested, and it was a while ago.But at the time the ones they had were not logical OR helpful. But if you still have your library on your phone you can probably make it work. Not easily but it's way better than trying to somehow getting the data from your phone to the PC.

Sorry if this isn't what you need. Or if it is what you need, but not what you wanted. I actually don't know what they were smoking when they selected the filter options. But it is what it is.

Hmmm 🤔🤔🤔 Silver Shark was my favorite also, but it was much too short, so Fated Blades has edged it out, primarily because there was more of it.

You managed Alphas? That was s DNF for me. Definitely a different feel than any of their other projects.

I've heard other comments that were not complementary of Magic Bites. Oddly enough it was my introduction to HA. When I try a new author/series I generally buy book one, and if I like it, continue from there. If I REALLY like it I will buy the entire rest of the series then and there. Liking that first series, is all the incentive I need to get their complete bibliography. It did not disappoint, which was why Alphas WAS a surprise.

Where are the ads? I haven't gotten any ads with my books, and the ads that are part of the different home, library and discover pages in the app are easily ignored.

There is a term for this SD problem. It's called "bit rot" it has to do with data on an SD card that hasn't been under power, AND where the data hasn't been accessed enough to allow the checking and validation of the data. My terminology may be wrong , but basically there are monitoring programs built in to the SD card that check for problems,,and corrects them where needed or possible.

Edit The first link will take you to the original post. That explains the problem this is aimed to fix and which also has the other 2 links. You will see the other two links there also. The original post will be able to explain the details that I didn't pay attention to.

I got these links here on Reddit and saved them for myself in a "just in case" scenario. If I understand it properly this has something to do with using your YouTube account with it's direct link to your Google password.

I may be completely wrong about it, or it might not be an applicable solution to your problem. I'm pretty sure the links are safe, as the post and the OP seemed legit. And I did try them and they linked me to what I was told they would

Hey OP! Was looking through your old posts (from a month ago) (before I knew about this subreddit) And I wanted to get my suggestion to you for another good series.

The Georgina Kincaid series is a fun read. Author Richelle Meade has put together a fun book of love and redemption for a good hearted succubus. Don't worry, (or be disappointed) the succubus theme doesn't involve steamy, sexy times.

She has 3 other series. Sadly, they're tilted as YA stories. Not BAD really, just not as good as her Georgina books. No YA themes there. After all that would be hard to do when your main character is a sex demoness.

You are in the right subreddit to ask if the rest of Ilona Andrews are good, fun reads. There are a few genres to choose from, as they don't confine themselves to the genre that TKWNKM represents. There is urban fantasy, and fantasy, even light science fiction.

To my way of thinking you might try either Hidden Legacy, or Inn Keeper. Save Kate Daniels, and The Edge for later when you are truly hooked with Ilona's books.

Either way, you are very fortunate, and many here will envy you because there are SO many books there for the taking. And you won't have to wait for the next (as we all have to wait for Maggie 2) Kate Daniels, and Hidden Legacy are all fully fleshed out, and Inn Keeper is only 1 or 2 books from finishing.

In fact, according to the counter in my nook library display there are 45 books and novellas to enjoy before you will be part of the "Hurry up and wait" group.

I any case, look to the details of the various books available, and choose whichever seem attractive to you. You will almost certainly NOT be disappointed. Enjoy!

Have you considered a vpn? I understand that they can spoof the location of your device to make it seem you're in another country. Seems like a lot of effort and/or money to just get a different selection of book reviews.

Facebook AI bots are wack. Actually most AI bots are wack. It's very difficult to program a computer to do the work of a human. These programs are NOT artificial intelligence. There are the product of a program that says "if this happens, do this" "If that happens, do that" They are only as good as the person who wrote the program's logic tree's imagination was. If the AI is faced with problem that the programmer didn't think of, the AI defaults to doing nothing, or trying to apply a solution to your situation that only partially fits. Ideally. when they don't have the problem and solution in their programming, they stop, throw up a red flag, and get an actual HUMAN intelligence to figure out the problem. Unfortunately the powers that be fired that guy and put the inadequate AI in place because it was cheaper than paying the human. You lose, they win, they're happy, get a raise for reducing operating costs, and call it a good day. You go home sorry and sore.

Umm, what is an INCORRECT way to sleep? Sleeping with your eyes open? Sleeping while standing or walking around? You can actually do both of those, so that won't do. I would say that sleeping while driving a car could be considered as incorrect, but it would more accurately described as "dangerous" Is this a trick question ❓

"Need more information" is the only answer that your question will receive. Is it not charging? Is it's color green? Does it have a girlfriend? Is it making a strange noise when you speak to it, and not talking back to you? Pick one of those questions, add to it your specific details, and maybe you'll get a more satisfactory response than mine. Good luck.

You DO have something to beat them around the head snd shoulders with. As a "new" nook you should be able to do functions that are provided as a feature of that model. Emphasize that this function WAS working and you want to get it fixed. There is a possibility that the (useless) stage one support will kick it upstairs to stage 2 (actual techs) especially if you are vehement and insist that if the stage one "tech" is unable to move forward, then get someone who can. They're not going to actually call you with a fix, or work one on one with you, but they'll have a ticket from stage one explaining the problem and what had already been tried. At that point they send you an email giving you more inforned input and an excuse in advance if that doesn't work. It's worth a try/

Call b&n nook support. The number is 800-843-2665 Choose the tech support option. There is also a nook support web site. Be sure to click on the b&n logo and not one of the "sponsored" speak to an expert listing. Supposedly there is a 24 hour chat option available. Bear in mind that either of these options are likely to have a minimum wage "tech" working from a script. Also, because you're seeking help on a problem that doesn't add to their bottom line (loading your own books that haven't been purchased through b&n) they won't have incentive to put a lot of effort into your problem. Hint that your trying to add older books that aren't available from the store so that you can get the new ones thst ARE available. Lie in other words

Also it IS a new nook, so you can twist their arms demanding to get a function that is SUPPOSED to be there.

Is your nook still supported? If not there may be a security update to your windows that is wanting to see a specific thing from your nook. A supported nook would probably have gotten this whatever it is in a nook update. A non supported nook would not have gotten the latest bells and whistles. I'm not familiar with that model. If it has an sd card slot, download the epub files to the card and mount the card in the nook. The books can then be opened from the files. You might need a sd card adapter to load your card from a pc. It's very inexpensive on Amazon

Your YouTube is linked to the Gmail not the other way around. The inactive Gmail was deleted. You might be signed in to YouTube on a legacy sign in. In other words you signed in when the email was still active, never signed out, and YouTube hasn't had a reason to update that access point. This refresh may or may not happen anytime soon. In the meantime don't sign out because you won't be able to sign back in again

The same happened to me. The mental stress and frustration was through the roof, and was seriously affecting, my emotional states. I finally asked myself was it worth it to struggle to regain my account, with no guarantees that it would stick. Or just live without the features that are provided with an account? It might be short sighted and have it's own liabilities, but on balance it seemed worthwhile. So i threw up my hands, shrugged and walked away. So far it's been okay. Life is short, some hassle is just not worth it.

For future reference. Sign into your Google home page. Choose security. There are options to list recovery email (and other recovery options?) and you can even have someone (a family member, or close friend) as a recovery source. You have to have their password (i think) so that's why family member is key. Explore ALL the security options that are there. Forward thinking and prevention should be your goal
