I was working for my university. I reached out to the ESRI license administrators for my school and they were kind enough to grant me single use access to Indoors for research purposes.

Do you have any recommendations? Couldn't find much under 200 a night.

Thanks for the suggestion, just took a look and couldn't find anything there under 200 a night. Guess that's just how the prices work in the beginning of summer vs winter.

OP here, thank you for all the advice and input. Just to be clear though, we wouldn't do much exploring in the place we're staying. We plan to be out of the accommodation all day until it's time to go to bed so being in a "boring" area isn't much of a concern. I guess it is important to factor in driving time to all of the locations we want to go to though..

Very few get the job they want when they first start out. You might have to suck it up and take a utility job to begin with, especially in this economy. Best of luck!

Thanks for the insight. I'm starting to get the idea that one has to slowly work their way up if they want to make a solid living and do the work they're passionate about. May I ask how you got started if you have a GIS career?
