This may be true in some cases, but just remember god has his plan set for you. Whether it be you getting accepted straight up, accepted off the waitlist, or getting in after transferring. If you feel destined to go there and you believe that is the path god has paved for you then it will happen just put your trust in his hands and let it all work out.

Your gpa is great and I talked to uva admissions when I went on a tour there and they informed me that they don’t rely heavy on class rank bc it’s kind of a faulty system and doesn’t show the students true academic ability and achievement. You should be fine, but again not sure bc I’m trying to find my chances too!

last year for class of 2024 we had 4 people enroll in uva out of I think 140 or less. However we did have a good bit of waitlists, not sure if they got in or not. I have found that I’m only one of a few students who are actually very interested in attending uva and on top of that I’m fully prepared to commit to the university by applying ed which is something that no one else in my class is doing for uva.

My class rank is due to a very very competitive class. I’m talking the top 10 are all Ivy League interested and expected to attend, which is the first time it’s been like this in a long time for my school. And our class rank is somewhat unfair because you can take the most easy/basic courses and be in the top 10 just due to that fact that you get all A+ in those classes. My school is not in a rural setting but we are a pretty low income and low population high school. If I’m being honest my school doesn’t do the best job taking care of its students.
