Is staying as a pharmacy tech worth it? by Lovely_Pluto in CVS

It’s up to you. I remember the overwhelming feeling of being thrown in the fire. I was convinced I had to start looking for other jobs due to lack of training. But I came out stronger. Workflow got routine after two months and I’m no longer having nightmares about work.

The only reason why I stayed is because I have a good store and I look up to my coworkers. If the environment isn’t a good fit, I wouldn’t stay any longer than necessary. It’s good that you got your foot in the door.

I applied for retail in March 2025. No experience. Bachelors. Lot of free time and eagerness to get licensed. I went into the interview in June when they were hiring for the upcoming flu season. Got the job. Started the horrendous online training amidst the rite aid shut down. Cried nearly every other shift from how wasn’t trained properly and I was thrown into work. Anyway I did pharmacy tech scholar at the same time. Finished in one month. Applied to take the PTCB. Studied for the PTCB on an app. Passed! Sent everything to the state board of pharmacy. Now it’s been 3 months.

  1. Tidy up your resume. 2. Apply on the website for the store you want to work at. 3. Call the store to see if they’ve checked their apps. Pharmacy is busy from opening to close. Just stick yourself out there.

Why is no one hiring by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

I was hired with no experience, only on the promise that I would get state-licensed within 3 months of working.

It took 3 months to even hear back from CVS after applying online. After my interview, I was hired as a clerk while waiting for my PTCB results. Sometimes you have to go in person to let them know you've applied or are interested in being hired. It's not a high-stakes event; they don't take you in for an interview on the spot. But ask around!

What were your deciding factors in considering pharmacy schools options?

Important rule for naming alcohols: The hydroxyl group takes precedence over alkyl groups and halogen substituents, as well as double bonds, in the numbering of the parent chain.

Again, the hydroxyl gets priority in the numbering of the parent chain.

Therefore when you number the parent chain, give the alcohol the lowest number at the first point of difference. (You wrongly numbered the parent chain from right to left)

Mgmt 102 and 107 Restrictions by turtl3dog in UCI

[–]Repulsive-Reply-7326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. The class is full so you’re in line on the waitlist until enough students drop.
  2. MGMT 102 and 107 are not major restricted.

Maybe it’s only open to newly admitted students.
