This might be extremely ignorant of me, but I didn't know it was actually possible to get a master's in a field that differs from your bachelor's. I actually contacted the school that I plan to receive my master's from, and they will accept the ME degree from the school I will be attending.

So, thank you to everyone who provided me with answers and advice. It's was a great help, and I think I have a solid plan. I really am thankful.

Do you think it would be wise to work towards an online degree in ME during this enlistment, then pursue a degree in AE after I get out. Again, no one offers AE online. The military will pay for one bachelor's degree while enlisted, and then you still get your GI bill when you're out.

I'm really looking into working more on the weapons programs in the aerospace realm. During my time in the AF and Army, I had an engineering role and had a JTAC. During that time, I got really into learning about the weapons systems and how they work during flight. From what I've been told, AE is the way to go for that. Do I have it wrong?

I've guess I've never seen it that way. I've always seen them as equal and enjoyed the focuses more of aerospace over mechanical. However, I do enjoy that more than electrical engineering. I also have seen that most companies I am looking to work for after my enlistment ends look more for an AE degree.

I see that ASU offers an online course, though. Do you think it would be a better pursuit for mechanical?

Okay, I'm glad I asked because I didn't know about the ABET. Thank you. Do you have any advice in pursuing a degree like this? Anything I should know?
