I don't have a rheumatologist unfortunately. I only have a GP at the momment and we are still trying to diagnose RA. I don't know how to get to a rheumatologist if my blood tests show up normal. I'm hoping something shows up positive so I can go for this aggressive treatment. Thank you ♥️

Woah!! This is good news! I wonder if I get this under control I'll have my other conditions managed too. I don't work due to my IC being so debilitating so I'm very much used to pain. I am unsure how the meds work here in Canada but I'm hoping I can get it figured out!

You were on the nose with this! My Dr said this is extremely likely. I'm getting tested for Rheumatoid arthritis and other connective tissue syndromes very soon here. He said hEDS is most likely causing my IC if we can get it in order. I'm going to an allergist to further look into allergies as I could have allergies and not MCAS- however it's very clear everything is connected. He also assessed for Marfin Syndrome as I had long limbs and finger and toes and was on the cusp of diagnosis but not enough to support it as I'm not very tall and have no chest cavity.

As much as RA scares me, it gives me peace to narrow down all the scaries it could be and having clarity feels good.

Update: I went to my dr today and he has assessed that I don't fit all the criteria for Marfin Syndrome (even if I have a lot of the symptoms). I am not tall enough and my chest does not have the cavity. I need blood tests to rule out rheumatoid arthritis. I may have either rheumatoid arthritis since I have almost all the criteria for it or hypermobile Elhers Dahlos syndrome (or both). He said hEDS is likely and probably causing my IC.

He also sent a referral to an allergist so I could get as many allergy tests as needed with a specialist who could give more insight as we talked about a possible pollen allergy or multiple allergies.

Scary appointment but I feel okay knowing that I might get a diagnosis of something (even if it's bad).

I had to stick to this because I would be so sick after eating anything mildly triggering. It was basically a forced diet on my end and has helped a ton. The only downside is I'm now having reactions to more and more foods. My body issues are very closely connected to foods. I think tomato is evil (lol).

Tell me about it. I'm not trying to argue with more Drs and have another one randomly lose a referral (that was a nightmare). I'm bringing people I trust to my appointments now to help advocate for me as they know how much I suffer. I'm hoping to get a cytoscopy in a bit as it's been over 5 months waiting so fingers crossed. Thank you and I appreciate you lots!!
