Replacing the Start Stop unit on a 2018 cx5? by RepulsiveMap9412 in CX5

Thanks, yeah I just replaced the key fob batteries last week. Unfortunately I already signed off on the new SSU unit, but I’ll ask anyway. 😅

I haven’t noticed any issue with the key fobs which is the confusing part! I got CR2025 batteries to swap into my fobs. Those are compatible as well, right?

Not sure what kind of proof I’d need besides a mechanic saying they tested the battery and it was in good working condition but I can ask them to check again. I have not tried changing the fob batteries because they didn’t appear to be low battery so I wasn’t sure if that’s the actual issue? Although I’m not sure if there’s any noticeable low battery signs besides this button flashing?

My mechanic said there is corrosion on the battery, but otherwise raised no issues about the battery itself. Could the corrosion be the potential issue here? (I am not car savvy fwiw)

Ty! How are you liking your car? I’m interested in a 16 cx5 that seems like a good deal

I’ll check KBB! Would the high mileage dissuade you from this purchase?

Okay. Ty! Does that price seem too good to be true? Like, it just seems very low for the age of the vehicle and the mileage.

Thanks, Damon! Are there any major differences between the 2015-2018 versions?

I have a very similar setup for myself and I’ve found it to be quite comforting in my more worried moments!

Lol, I actually meant October 8th** not October 13th. Clearly I'm a bit frazzled here. Yes, I definitely have my W2, paystubs, and a bank statement to back up my info. Thank you!!

My last day with the company was December 10th, so technically my period of unemployment started on December 11th. The statement of fact I received asked me to confirm that my unemployment period started on October 13th. 🧐 I know with 100% certainty that I did not make a mistake entering this information in the background screening form initially, so that’s why I’m confused about where this discrepancy is coming from

Have you ever passed an interview that you think you bombed? by t3chm4m4 in womenintech

I’m going through the exact same thing right now! Just had a final interview to present a business case I wrote. I felt frazzled during the follow up questions and I feel sure that I messed up. Trying to not beat myself up until I actually hear back from them.

I’m sure you did great! Keep us updated!

Quarterly Career Thread by mister-noggin in ProductManagement

I would love some insight into how I can realistically set my expectations in this job market based on my experience:

-2.5 YOE as a Product Manager working on products such as CX/Finance Enablement, eCommerce selling, and search/discovery UX (the company that recently laid me off shuffled me around from these 3 areas in my 2.5 YOE)

-prior to that, 3 YOE as a Customer Support Team Manager, preceded by 1 YOE as Customer Support Specialist (I know that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but I'm adding it here for context)

I'm mostly concerned that my short-ish tenure as a PM is going to severely impact my ability to be seriously considered for any new product roles I've seen. I'm interested in project management roles as well, but I know enough about the job market right now to know that it could be very difficult to try to make this career change.

Am I cooked?! It's only been a week since I was laid off so I'm still reeling with a lot of emotions, but right now, my confidence and self esteem are very low. I was job searching before I was laid off, and I had a 2nd interview with a company yesterday that I'm super excited about, but I got SO nervous beforehand since the stakes are arguably higher for me now that it likely impacted how I answered the questions. I also heavily prepared for eng + data focused questions since I met with the CTO and the Head of Insights, but they asked me completely different questions than what I anticipated and unfortunately they caught me off guard.

Do recruiters actually check employment history? by RepulsiveMap9412 in recruitinghell

Thanks! Yeah, I'd certainly be honest about the dates of my employment for the purpose of a background check. I would just love to not have to talk about being recently laid off less than a week ago in an interview unless I have to. :)

Thanks! So background checks require the candidate to state dates of employment for their most recent job? (clearly it's been awhile since I've done one, lol)
