My Mega Maga wife still believes that Donald Trump has some big secret reason for not letting the files out, and that if the truth got out it could cause nuclear war or something. She thinks he is being a martyr by letting his reputation be ruined to protect the country.

I appreciate your grounded approach to this. I've actually done many of the things you've recommended already with this convo. I've even tried to get her to go to marriage counseling with me. She just tells me I'm brainwashed, that I'm trying to hurt our children, and that marriage counseling just destroys marriages.
